1. Select 'Create / Combinator' from the Reason / Record main menu.  A Combinator will be added to the Reason / Record Rack.
 
  1. Right click on the Combinator and select 'Create / NN-XT Advanced Sampler' from the context menu.
 
  1. Select a Brass patch for the NN-XT.

  2. Label both the NN-XT and Mix Channel 'Brass 1'.

  3. Repeat the procedure until you have built up a large number of Brass samples each with a Mix Channel routing them to the SLL mixer.

   

 

  1. Press the TAB key whilst the Record project has the keyboard focus.  The rack will flip to reveal the connections at the rear of the devices.
  2. Connect the left and right outputs of the Master Section (representing the SSL mixer) to the Record Hardware Interface Audio Outputs 1 and 2.

  3. Ensure that each of the Brass loaded NN-XT samplers is connected to a Mix Channel.  The Mix Channel devices represent a connection feeding into Record's SSL mixer.

 
 
  1. From the Reason Project, select 'View/Main Mixer' from the Record main menu.

  2. Solo the Brass section on the STM2448 mixer whilst playing back the Cubase sequence.

  3. Make mix adjustments to suite using the SSL mixer.  Adjust volumes and pan alternate channels hard left and right to achieve a large stereo spread.
