Time Stretching in the
STS5000 is a relatively simple process, simply
follow these steps:
- Load a sample (e.g.
drum loop) and select a keygroup from the
keygrouplist.
- From the keygroup
dialog select the 'Zones' tab.
- Change the 'Pitch
Mode' of each sample to 'PitchShift' (as shown
to the right).
- Select the
'TimeStretch' tab.
- Select 'Modwheel' as
one of the 'Time Stretching Modulation'
dropdowns.
- Apply a value of 50
to the ModWheel, as shown below.
The drum loop will now
change tempo (without changing pitch) when you
trigger the loop with a MIDI keyboard and move the
modulation wheel. Check out the SoundCloud
