The Sonic Core OptiMaster can be considered as many devices in one.  While it consists of a Normalizer, Expander and a Limiter, we will focus on the Multiband Compressor for a minute, as it works with a Wizard (shown in the animated graphic below).  The user should activate the 'Wizard' during playback of a representative part of a mix, where the signal is analyzed to provide maximum volume across all three bands.

Whilst the Wizard is a very quick method of achieving loudness in a mix, the output of the various frequency ranges are predetermined.  If a more precise mix to the engineers taste is required, then 'control-by-ear' manual adjustments should be employed.

From the Sonic Core website: The new OptiMaster turns your recording into a professional-sounding final production. OptiMaster includes all the tools you need for mastering. The processor combines a normalizer, multiband expander, multiband compressor and multiband limiter into a compact, extremely capable unit. The Wizard function can even analyze the audio signal and set the important parameters automatically - as if by magic.
