Re: Xite-1 and VirtualBox

Maybe a bit of necroposting here, but just to keep things factual:

In theory, since intel vt-d with a properly setup IOMMU with DMAR tables, nothing should prevent you to connect any PCIe device to a virtualized environment provided that:

-your chipset properly supports IOMMU
-your CPU properly ...

Yes it works, I have tried it. If you are streaming from the PC to the Capybara in your Kyma algorithm, then depending on your capy interface and chipset on MB, you could have your PCI bandwidth reduced. However, with Kima-X software under XP/2k, you will use the firewire interface which shouldn't ...

Hello,

First of all, there will most probably be next generation motherboards with more than 2 PCI slots in them. There is almost nothing on PCIe yet besides graphic cards (on 16x connectors).

But, for those who want a greater choice of motherboards, you can buy a PCI riser with intel 21152 PCI-to ...

If you dont mind modifying your guitar,
take a look at Ghost piezo pickup system:

As a bonus, if you buy the total kit, you will have the best guitar for wiring to an Axon or other guitar to midi converter.

The fact that the UI is sluggish has nothing to do with PCI traffic when you have an AGP card. The AGP bus, altough part of the PCI PNP enumeration, is wired directly to the north bridge, and doesn't affect the transfers on the PCI bus (south bridge), so, sorry to be blunt, but that's total BS.

Dxl, did you think he was selling an OASYS ?
(Korg 1212 is not the oasys, it's a much older card, but with the same IO capacity)

As far as OASYS is concerned, all HW versions are the same, and V2 software is just a download on Korg website.
