I just started experimenting with the 3000 last night. I know the interface is somewhat complicated. I'm having trouble figuring out how to import .wav files to be used as samples. Am I missing something?

no changes to the existing tracks with the latest post...all mastering-type mods. i tried to brighten things overall, remove the mud, experiment with optimaster, improve apparent sound level. still could use some work, but i think i'll move on for now. thanks for your time! New version posted. I eq'd the lows out of the guitar, tried to bring the vocals out a little more, backed off the reverb from the vocals to try and remove some of the blurriness, replaced the organ with a pad synth and put that in the background (eq'd that some too), added a simple guitar solo. The ...

Greetings all,
I have a query about the A16 ultra. I currently have a Pulsar II card (with adat interface, no z-link) and have only used the 2 on-board a/d's. I've seen other postings here that say the z-link is a better interface to the A16 than the adat i/f.
What's the reason to say that? Is it ...

I'm another Cubase user who prefers mixing in SFP. My question is: once the mix is in SFP, what tool do you use to produce your final stereo mixdown? Is there an economical approach that still sounds professional?
The way I have been doing it is to bring my final stereo mix back into Cubase, mute ...

I don't own VDAT, so I can't speak intelligently about its details, but I do understand its purpose. An earlier post said that once you edited a file outside of VDAT, that it couldn't be played by VDAT anymore.
My idea with VDAT is to keep sample generation and processing within Scope. I'm learning ...
