The only difference between Powercore, UAD-1 and XTC is that the XTC stuff is a whole lot buggier

I want to use xtc plugins in protools LE. SO i bought vst to rtas wrapper from fxpansion. But the configurator does not want to convert the xtc plugins. I've installed them in the vst folder of the wrapper. He seems the files but doesn't convert. anyone who's got experience with this?

always thought that firewire is 400mbps which results in 50Mbyte/s.

USB2 = 480mbps = 60 Mb/s
Firewire2= 800mbps should reach 100 Mb/s
Writing more than 40 Mb of audio data per second to hd would only be possible using many tracks / high resolutions / samplerates and a scsi or raid HD ...

What PCI slot is everyone using..? My scope card is bit too big for my case and all my periphals. So now its using pci 4 (5 is also possible) But it shares irq 23 with my raid controller (s-ata raid on deluxe version).
