After I heard about this, I posted the following on my Solaris Forum. I hope his son won’t mind that I reprinted his message:
I know many of you here are aware of the many posts and contributions a fellow Solaris owner known as Jimmy V. (as well as dawman or several others) has made to the Solaris ...

Re: Voice / formant module
But there is a formant filter in the Scope system! We have the design also in the Solaris keyboard. I think it’s only available in Scope separately as a Modular unit (also in some of my Zarg Music plug-ins).

Re: John Bowen / Zarg Music With V7 64bit
Up to now, hardware Solaris, even it´s a brilliant synthesizer, sucks MIDI wise when it comes to be a keyboard controller instrument.
The MIDI implementation isn´t complete at all.
I don´t need more keyboards anyway and own the Kurzweil PC361 which is a VERY nice MIDI controller, has the Fatar ...

Re: John Bowen / Zarg Music With V7 64bit
Hello Everyone,
I’m not able to recall the exact issues regarding the way XITE handles the communications busses, and I don’t yet know if Scope 7 has any way of working around the problems. Let’s see what Holger has to say.
I really do appreciate the interest everyone has shown in my Scope plug ...

Re: Which plugins should I avoid on Xite-1 in 96 kHz mode?
Are all three synths (Pro-One, Pro-Tone and Pro-Wave) emulations of Sequential Circuits Pro One?
Just only for the record:
SC ProTone and Zarg ProOne are emulations of the SCI Pro One monophonic analog synth,- but w/ advanced features compared to the hardware synth.
Zarg Prowave is the follow ...

Re: Pan not working correctly on QuantumWave or Solaris V4.1
While on this subject is there any news from John Bowen regarding optimising his devices for XITE?
Cheers lads

Re: Pan not working correctly on QuantumWave or Solaris V4.1
OK, I finally got to check the panning modules in both Solaris and Quantum Wave, and these I copied from my Pro-Wave/Prophet Plus work. I see no difference, so I guess the next question would be, does anyone see this problem in the Prophet Plus or Pro-Wave?

Re: New XITE-1 plugins comming from old developers
The regular version should be the one that has all the oscs and filter plus RD slots. Typically, the 'slim' versions of plugins I've done have been without any of the modules that the RD slots allow you to load....

Re: New XITE-1 plugins comming from old developers
I need to post a clarification or two, since being contacted about this earlier today...
1) this requires a compatible set of RD modules to work. There are no oscillators and no filter on board
2) It was not 'optimized' for XITE; this is an old Beta that I sent Jimmy some time ago, and he decided ...

Re: Pan not working correctly on QuantumWave or Solaris V4.1
I think he said it doesn't happen on some other synths, just the Solaris v5 and the QuantumWave.
I suspect the pan sub-module I used for these 2, since as I recall, it was a newer module that wasn't available when many of the other Creamware devices were made. I'll have to investigate more, once I ...

Re: Pan not working correctly on QuantumWave or Solaris V4.1
you found a bug. i'll let John know.
So, Gary did write, and all I can say is if it works in Scope 4.5 and earlier, but not in v5.0+, how can the 'bug' be in the device, and not the v5 software?
Anyway - I'll have to get Scope 5 and and a working version of the SDK for it, and see what I can do ...

Re: John Bowen presents Solaris in Munich, Oct. 2010 video
Yes, they brought one of two protos to Los Angeles last January (2012) for presentation at the NAMM show, then visited Zimmer the day after, and left it there for him. (Much easier than shipping it back to Germany, by the way!)

Actually, there's around 1240 parameters!HUROLURA wrote:And maybe slightly more than 4 times
currently you can reach any of the 35 encoders to directly tweak parameters but there are almost 1000 parameters !!!
And it is still quite easy to use, though.

Re: SonicCore at the MusikMesse 2012
Check out the Italain Company called Viscount.
They have a Gran Piano/Controller called Physis that uses 6 x SHARC DSP's.
Saw it on a pic, read it has DSPs, surprised you already know that´s SHARCs.
Very interesting for me too !

Re: Please vote on these new ASBs!
I'd like to see Sonic Core gut the ASBs and sell them as MIDI controllers to use with the PC versions. I can't justify buying the ASBs of MiniMax, Pro12, and B2003 because I already own the PC versions and I only do studio work, but I'm drooling over having dedicated controllers rather than using a ...

Re: Please vote on these new ASBs!
Yes, very true, the Solaris does seem to be the successor to the ASB's though it's not an emulation of one board but the components of many, in a very similar way to the Arturia Origin which I do have and I must admit that I do like the look of the Solaris and what it can do but what I like about ...
