@Tom
"the sound was off, +2 that filter effect vanished - a knob zoom would have been great..." : ho man, tell me about it, that's why it was such a pain ! even with a midi controller .. forget the mouse !

Yo hubird and garyb, thanks a lot for your msgs ...

@Man-Machine : I don't know, but that is an interesting question.
Mine is a Model 100, with a rev 1.2 board and all with curtis chips (3 CEM3340 VCO, 2 CEM3310 EG, 1 CEM3320 VCF).

I think having knobs is so great ! And I find those CWA Authentic ...

You can achieve probably deeper sound bass with the ProTone.
But that was not the point.

As I said I used the patches from the Unease web site which were the ones that Vince Clarke used on that famous Yazoo track.
It's a PWM bass with a sine wave added on OSC B.

The knob position is not an issue ...

@garyb :
So the questions are :
Are they different patches which I made on purpose to make them sound different?
Or was it impossible to make them sound the same after hours of tweaking ??

I leave it up to you ... :wink:

@Tom : :grin:

Hi,
Yes the Pro One has more punch, goes deeper in the low and high ends, and sounds bigger and warmer.
The difference is pretty obvious when you listen to the "whrorau" sound (filter opening and closing on a fat PWM sound).

I guess the word "analog" should explain everything ..
Still ProTone is ...

Hi hubird,
not sure what you want to do.
Best is to include both tracks in a multitrack sequencer and to solo one track at a time.

What do you mean ?
The files are 32Bits floating point/48kHz
that might be the problem ...
I re-uploaded the files with 16Bit/44.1 kHz ..

Let me know.

Here are 2 files to compare the 2 synths :

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/mks-80/Pro%20One.wav
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/mks-80/Pro%20Tone%20.wav

Only the snare drum is not made with the synths.
Both synths go trough the same signal path/effects (exept the hardware goes first through the A/D convertion ...

Thanks Antar for your answer.
Bu I am a bit confused, based on the statement from Frank from CWA.

On the Key transfer Topic he wrote the following :

"Most complicated and time consuming is deleting the key from the "source system". Actually, the only way is to delete ALL keys of the source system ...

Hi peeps,
I want to transfer 3 creamware Plugins from one card to another.
If I understood right, my source card will get a new Hardware Serial Number, and creamware will send me new keys for my unsold plugins.
The thing is that Creamware only has a list of their plugins (on "my page").
So as I have ...

Hi peeps,

Thanks for your help !
Ok, I had a Linear VCA module between my ADSR and the out of the MODIII which prevented it to work...
I now see the voltage coming out, but it is much too weak.
The Mooger accept from 0 to 5.7V.
The Pulse delivers from 0 to 5.4V (I measured).
And I measured the ...

@dArKr3zIn

Mate, I need more info on how you achieved that ... sounds interesting indeed.

I have tried with a basic setup (with Modular III) : ie a VCA mod. by an ADSR.
I guess to output a current to an analog audio out you have to produce a sound..
In my case I took a basic waveform (with MODIII ...

Minimax is awesome .. but I think hardware still is ahead.
There is no way I want to spend 3000€ for a Voyager nor 2000€ euro for a old Mini which might not be working right (and no midi).

For a little while I was comtemplating this Moogerfooger MF-101, but I thought, what is a point to have a real ...

I think VA 'research' should go further.
It is still to my ears anyway not yet the perfect copy of real analog...
Well what is the point ?
The point is that , atm, VA and analog can complement each other as they can acheive different kind of sounds, some are similar (thank God), but some are very ...
