Power

John,

One question as you can beta test the new box: specs announce 10x more power, is it compared to a 14 DSP board? And on which operating system are you testing it? MacOS, Windows (XP|Vista), ...

Thanks, looks promising!

About French people

I don't know what's happening here, but I don't really like what some people say about French people in general. To make "humor" with this kind of silly jokes can be the start of bad... developments I would say

Moreover, TF1 TV belongs to Bouygues group (building company), don't swap with Dassault ...

Well, so far I am doing like this:

- all instruments (VST & SFP plugins) are routed into a SFP mixer
- the SFP mixer main output is routed to an ASIO module to get the general output back in SX, and to an analog output for headphone monitoring
- in SX, I create an audio track to record the main ...

Mastering for CD

Hi everyone,

I am using Scope v4.0 associated to Cubase SX3. Everything works very fine, but when I come to put on music CD a mixdown, I realise that the output from the CD does not sound as the mix played from Cubase thru SFP.

The result often sounds like a sound soup, with too much basses, and ...

Hi everyone,

I also had some craking noises from time to time while using Cubase SX3/Scope v4.0 on a p5b Asus mobo with 2Gb ram & intel p6600 dual core cpu (with two CW cards, a 6 & a 3 DSP), all running on Win XP Pro.

I checked everything proposed here to stop the noises: check IRQ conflicts ...

I closed Scope, and try to double click on the files. When I do this on a .oxe, I get an error popup from XP saying "access denied"... Any idea? My configuration is clean as it is a new PC with a fresh XP pro and Scope install...

Thanks

Same problem

Hi everyone,

I have the same problem srigi001 had, but in my case still not solved.

I try to re install some devices on a new SFP installation, but putting the .oxe files in the oxe folder makes them disappear, but I am not prompted for installation at new SFP start, and I don't see the devices in ...

Thank you so much for your replies!

Actually, I am using using the PC as follow:

- Windows XP Pro (MB P4B533 + 1GB RAM)
- 3 CW cards: mixing, effects, synths (Minimax, Prodyssey & MIII)
- 1 Alesis AI3 to put in digital 2 synths (1 Virus & 1 Roland SH 09), using ADAT
- Cubase VST, with quite a lot ...

That is right, I didn't notice that the integrated ASUS cooling system could be a problem with the CW cards's length...

Didn't know about alternate.de MB, seems to be what I am looking for. Do you use this brand with CW cards? No problem to declare?!

Best regards,

Fred

New motherboard and number of PCI slots

Hello,

I am planing to buy an up to date motherboard, to increase overall performance. So far I used with success an ASUS P4B533, and I would like to switch to Intel Dual Core CPU, if this is not stopper for Creamware applications.

Shrooms and Astroman, thanks for your replies.

In fact you're right, I have to set the ASIO driver to Scope in Cubase, and not to the Virus ASIO.

So simple that I realise I should not work so late...!

Thanks again,

Hello everyone,

I´m using a PC with 3 CW cards under SFP v3.1c, Cubase SX and an Access Virus TI. My problem is that I can not use (I don´t know how to...) both the Virus as an ASIO sound card, and XTC effects and synths within Cubase.

On my PC, the Virus and the CW cards are seen as sound cards ...

The idea of providing "ACB" is to use the factory lines used to produce ASB... In order to have dedicated plugin controllers. Of course, most of general purposes midi controllers can do the job, but 1) it's cool to have a controller dedicated to a plugin 2) if the price is low (lower than minimax ...

Hi there,

I think these ASB are a good idea, but as CW DSP cards user, I would REALLY appreciate controllers only versions of these boxes, in order to control already bought Minimax/Profit plugins. And I propose the name ACB for the controllers only version.
