The only USB that I have connected is an iLok from Waves. Is there anyway of testing for a defective PS other than to replace it?

XP Hangs caused by Scope

I think I am on my last legs with Scope. I have been using it for almost two years and never gotten it into a stable state. Creamware support simply doesn't exist anymore apparently. I'm run through this issue on the board before, but thought I'd try one last time to see if there were any other ...

Thanks for the thoughts. I do have the midi ports physically connected, but the problem happens regardless of whether or not any of the external midi devices are powered on or not. I don't think its a heat issue because I installed a big speed adjustable fan and heatsink in when I got the Scope ...

Scope Freezes then Crashes System

I am using a Scope running version 4.5 on an XP machine with Live 6.0.7. Almost like clockwork after about 20-30 minutes of work, the Scope interface becomes locked, but seems to still work (audio works fine). Then later on, Live freezes and the whole machine crashes. Anyone seen anything similar or ...

I really don't know if it happens with other software because Sonar is the only app I have for recording. Its impossible to tell with just a simple playback because there is no reference point.

I only notice it after a new track is recorded from another track in Sonar. In other words if I play ...

I agree. There doesn't seem to be any settings in either Sonar or Scope to adjust the synchronization. And I have used Sonar with no problem for around a month, and I just started seeing this issue out of the blue.

But the problem most certainly exists. Signals routed through the Scope card are ...

This doesn't sound like the issue. I contacted Cakewalk support and they insist that there is no such feature in Sonar. I completely reinstalled both Sonar and Pulsar, and still have the same issue - the re-recorded signal is ahead of the original. Any other suggestions? How does Pulsar synch to ...

I have started having a really weird problem with my card/sequencer app. I am taking a simple audio clip and sending out of my sequencer to Pulsar, and then recording it back into the sequencer. Here is the weird part - when I record the new "resampled" signal it is actually ahead of the original ...

I am having an issue that follows a crash by my sequencer app (Sonar4). After the app crash, if I try to relaunch Sonar, I get an error message that Scope is not running (even though it is). Now here is the really disturbing part; If I try to exit Scope, the entire PC crashes and automatically ...

Exactly. This 16/24 driver option is irrelevant after Win98. There must be some other problem going on in your Sonar.

I know for certain that there is a problem in Sonar. Specifically, in the Audio options, you must choose a bit depth for the drivers that you use in the project. If I choose 16 ...

Can one of guys clarify this for me, because I am in a similar situation, but with Windows 2000.

In the card settings for Pulsar, it shows that the driver bit depth can only be set to 16 bit - Fine.

I can load 24 bit Wave Sources and Destinations - Also fine.

Then I have to set the driver bit ...

Liberty,

Did you get this figured out? If not, I was wondering if Sonar producing audio? I.e. do your signal meters in Sonar light when they should? If not, then Sonar is not recognizing the audio drivers or there is a driver conflict. Make sure that you are sharing your drivers in the Advanced ...

So did you just activate the ASIO drivers in Sonar, or did you need to move the Creamware ASIO driver into the Sonar program folder?

krizrox,

I'm about to do an install of the same config you have, but the only instructions in the Creamware manual for Sonar points to the MME drivers. Is the basic process you used the same as what was documented for using ASIO with Cubase? Any tips or things to avoid? And jsut to be clear, are ...

See, this is what I was hoping for  And I do apologize for asking something that is a common question. But it was word of mouth that got me interested in Creamware, so I guess I was just looking for some reassurance from the true believers. Ordering a Project today.

Hi guys. I currently use an Echo Layla 24 as my soundcard, and am interested in possibly moving to a SCOPE Project. The main reasons being trying to take some processing load off the CPU by using the DSPs. My problem is that I don't know anyone that actually uses one, so I have no way of knowing ...
