Just discovered this;
http://www.freebsd.org/projects/busdma/index.html

Creamware should really look into this.

Wsippel;

Someone should mention to Creamware that FreeBSD allows closed source binary only drivers.

Maybe they'd port over if they knew that.

I know they are hesitent with Linux because of their desire of copyright protection and trade secrecry.

Wsippel:

How are the linux drivers?

I think you should just goto FreeBSD.

FreeBSD allows for closed source binary drivers. I think Creamware would feel a little more comfortable with FreeBSD. Much more then with linux and their source only drivers. ...unless Creamware has the time and money to ...

I grabed a copy of the v4.5 release.

The driver is the same version (1.50.12.0) as release v4.0

Creamware has some explaining to do!

A version jump from v4.0 to v4.5 is a MAJOR change, so why havn't they changed anything?

Creamware needs to set up a CVS repository, I don't expect them to release ...

I have no problems with my dual xeon system. 2 physical processors, 2 logical processors, on SCOPE v4.0

The only problem I have ever had with Creamware is if SFP is running even in the task tray, it trashes my burnt dvd or cds.

It messes with ASPI, I think.

Just the tech facts.

Where is the Changelog?

What about somehow sending the surround mixer outs to the ADAT module and that into the reciever? I know it's two different protocols and it wont work as is... but is there a way?

Some how make the Digital module multichannel?

I would like to take the outs from the surround mixer and encode them to the optical outs right to my reciever.

I feel this is an essential module, I hate using my LunaII breakout box to send surround to my reciever.
