Re: A question about STS

when you import keys from a v5 keyfile, it writes the keys into the keyfile.v5 file in Scope/app/bin.
once all keys are imported and working, make a copy of the keyfile.v5 in Scope/app/bin to have a complete keyfile back-up. you can name the back-up whatever you want, it will import as long as it ...

Re: A question about STS

garyb wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 2:23 pm your v5 keyfile will still work for optional plugins.
Thanks GaryB
So I can use multiple keyfiles, as long as they are registered to the same unit I guess?
But can I rename them as long as I don't change the file type (.v5 file)?
It might be a bit easier to keep order in them that way.

Re: A question about STS

Typing from my head,- I don´t remember the details,- but some devices make trouble also in Scope v7 32Bit and they work better in Scope v5.1.

It´s no biggie.
When you got Scope v7,- that´s v5 keys for the devices,- except for the application, which always will need a individual key.
So the ...

Re: A question about STS

I also second a 32bit system for STS and VDAT ...
myself running Scope7 on Win7/32bit on Asus P4C800, Intel 875 chipset, mobile P4 (with the 1 bent leg mod to reduce Vcore) 2Ghz, 2GB Ram, the most stable Scope system I ever experienced.

Amazing. I tend to take care of old machinery, mainly for ...

Re: A question about STS

I have an MPC4000 (an Akai Z4 sampler in disguise plus a groove sequencer) and consider it on an equal level of sophistication as Scope.
But I wouldn‘t hesitate 1 minute to replace it by Spectrasonics Stylus, if it was only about the groove. ;)
For any non-perfect finger drummer Stylus does the ...

... the Xite-1.
I don't know how many dsp's it has actually. 🙈

:D

12 333MHz and 6 60MHz SHARC.

But I agree w/ Valis,-

SCOPE 32Bit (4.5 and 5.1 are the by me recommended versions) is best for STS, Vdat and everything Modular and ZARG using samples for their presets or are able to load ...

Thx. Actually not using the digital i/o'ts, preamps, or plugins. Only as a kind of bigknob monitor controller, and 24 channel daw controller via probox. I love the hands on feeling and the lessend mouse addiction. :)

Re: A question about STS

STS Samplers do NOT work in 64bit... see the 1st sentence of your quote above.
That‘s why Eiffel65Fan used a 32bit system.
But the „problem“ wasn‘t related to the sampler in the 1st place, it was about routing of Vocoder signals. ;)
You may in fact „load“ Scope plugins that are NOT 64-bit ...

Re: A question about STS

Since the STSs don't work in 64 bit, I bought a Sonic Core Expresscard and a Lenovo W540 laptop (which I have "downgraded" to 32 bit Windows 10 from the original 64 bit that was installed), downloaded the STS 32 bit files from Bud, installed Scope v7, put those files in the appropriate folder ...

Re: New on Xite-1

There's a lot to learn here.

However it all depends on what you use Scope for. Historically, Scope was a centerpiece of a DAW machine that offers incredibly signal routing and can be a mixing tool, synthesis tool, live recording too (monitor mixes and effects for such etc, while recording dry ...
