Re: Installing scope 4 on windows 7 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can confirm that scope 4.5 works on win 7 32bit

How did you manage to do that? On my system Windows 7 recognizes there's a Scope card, but doesn't see it as a sound device. I can't play any wave out on it, and my sequencers complain ASIO isn't set up correctly. I tried to fiddle around with ...

Re: Pro Flexor for Scope 5 - PETITION

What... does SC really charge people for developing commercial stuff for their platform? That is as if Apple would charge developers when they make something for OSX. It doesn't make sense. SC should simply charge for the system itself and their own software and let others go rampant on it with ...

now the people who criticised the missing z-link can be happy too.
Yup. It would have been pretty silly if they had omitted that.

A new version is up! I tampered with some parts and added a bit more variety to the drums.

I re-played the bass part to give the track a bit more "oomph" and I am proud to announce that I now also use the DynaTube bass plugin in the track ;)

Celmo's Tape Sim ...right?
And the spring reverb. I used the DynaTube FT for the guitar. Everything is mixed in Scope itself.

Downtempo pop/rock

Here's a track I made using a lot of Scope stuff, especially the MiniMax and various Celmo plugins. I classified it has trip-hop on Soundclick, but I doubt it qualifies, really. The singer is Berend, a good friend of mine. Enjoy!

I actually got the STS Series to work, albeit not to my complete satisfaction, but its not freezing anymore in xp.

What I did was RTFM!,

No, seriously,

In the manual it tells you that to get the best performance on XP that you need to change your PC Role to Standard PC and not ACPI

I ...

Try a project without any STS-samplers, only with synths.
It's a pity, but the STS-samplers seem to work not properly under winXP, when you use a sequencer.

Wow, what a golden tip! I removed all STS samplers from my projects, replacing them with the samplers from Reason or Battery... and my ...

as said before: connecting it via ADAT should work, but there is no Z-Link port on the XITE.
so the answer to your question is both yes and no.
Can't they at least make a version with Z-Link connectors?

Well sorry to hear that but to me it seems that something is definitive not right in your setup..and after years with scope..i doubt its the card / drivers.Did you check for dead / leaking caps on your mainboard? May aswell build a new daw.

Well, truth be told: the system does seem more stable ...

yes. both Sonar and Cubase will certainly freeze if you have a controller sending active sensing and it's not filtered. the problem is overflowing midi buffers which wreck the timing of events which makes the computer freeze. it is a known weakness of the scope midi i/o.

Sooo.. in the end I was ...

active sensing?

My Radium Midiman indeed sends out Active Sensing signals. I do notice though that both Cubase and Sonar filter out the Active Sensing signals before rerouting them to the Scope plugins... but perhaps I can still try to filter them out. Is it sufficient if I do that with Scope's ...

You did the /3gb switch in the .ini ?
More info plz:) I seriously doubt its a scope driver problem somehow.

Yeah, I use the /3Gb switch. I turned it off for a while to see what results I would get, but I still get random freezes, so I don't think it has anything to do with that setting.

Well, it looks like I cheered too soon. After almost a whole day of working fine, my PC started freezing again... 4 times in one hour, no less.

So, is anyone interested in one of them Scope cards? They work fine, as long as you don't expect to get any work done.

i very much understand the frustration as well. still, the computer should be stable, the issue is not the drivers. i've seen too many stable machines running scope...

disabling services is NOT a good place to start, imho, nor is it necessary for stable operation. at best it will squeeze that last ...
