I've had this problem since i upgraded to a C2D about 8 months ago. My old computer was a P4 2ghz and never had a problem at all.

Your computer is different than mine:
C2D E6600
2 GIG RAM
SAMSUNG 400GB SATA2 HDD
ASUS P5B DELUXE P965 chipset
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS

thanks i have taken your advice onboard :)

I must add that the luna card has been one of the best buys i've ever made :) but when i use the SPDIF output things sound alot cleaner and there is alot more depth ...

i think the Roland DA 400 is making it sound this way, i dont know what DA converters are in this box. I just needed to capture it and the easy solution is to run back into the luna through analogue 'in' i think.

I go from the luna SPDIF out into the Roland DA 400 then from the Roland DA 400 analogue outputs to my monitors.

could some of you guys help me out please?
What it is that i want to do is mix through spdif because i think it sounds alot cleaner and mixing is a dream. The thing is i need something to capture the mix, i've thought about running the spdif from the luna into a laptop and then mastering it ...

No nothing helped. I really don't know where the problem is with this but as long as it does not effect my productions i can live with it.

If anyone does think of anything else, please feel free to let me know.

I've tried the 'output preload' but still not solved it. I've not raised my ULLI which i should have done first, going to try that next, fingers crossed.
