Re: No DSP placement found
Am I supposed to just hook everything up to ASIO and then choose a physical output (e.g. ADAT) in the ASIO hardware settings from inside the DAW? That seems to be what the manual is implying. However, that doesn't work - I've never been able to get that dialog up from within live. Also, I don't see ...

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get Ableton Live working with XTC mode in Scope 5.1. My full setup is as follows:
Windows 7 64-bit
Pulsar 1 + Pulsar 2
Scope 5.1 64-bit
Ableton Live 8 (32-bit host)
I have read the manual and on the forums. I can get sound from Live when running Scope in Standard, non ...

Re: 22ms gaps in audio every 10s240ms.
Do the time between gaps or the length of the gaps themselves change if you change latency settings in Scope or if you change buffer settings in your application?

Re: Windows 7 64-bit wave driver recording: Very strange noi
UPDATE:
Not that anyone but me had any doubts about this but it's definitely the total amount of RAM and not the configuration (like number of RAM sticks or the timing) that is the culprit. I just changed from 4 x 2GB DDR2 800MHz (5-5-5-5-18) to 2 x 4 GB DDR 667 MHz (5-5-5-15) and in neither case ...

Re: Windows 7 64-bit wave driver recording: Very strange noi
Aha, fascinating! Thanks for trying this out and getting back to me :). So they have communicated some kind of plan to fix this in Scope 6? I guess I shouldn't speculate when the planned release date is for v6 considering how long I waited to upgrade to 5.1 ;D.
Should I mail a report of the whole ...

Re: Intel DP35DP drivers in Windows 7 64-bit
Thanks for letting me know
. I'm just curious how you got the onboard DP35DP audio working in x64. Did you find a 64-bit driver? Or did you turn off the onboard audio in the BIOS an uninstalled the device in the device manager and everything just worked after that?
Thanks,
Tomas

Thanks,
Tomas

Re: Windows 7 64-bit wave driver recording: Very strange noi
Thanks for replying :)! If someone could verify that downgrading to less than 4 GB of RAM causes the problem to go away that would be most interesting. Or if different RAM configurations (2/4 vs 3/4 sticks of RAM) affects the problem. Also, it's very strange that the problem is so different for ...

Intel DP35DP drivers in Windows 7 64-bit
I know that this question is not related to Scope or any Creamware/SonicCore products specifically but since the Intel DP35DP is somewhat of a recommended reference mobo for Creamware/SonicCore cards and since Windows 7 64-bit is the new standard I guess it's important to get all of this running ...

Hi everyone,
I've got a real mysterious problem that I hope that someone might be able to help me with.
The thing is, I've been using my Pulsar cards and Scope 4.5 since 2008/2009 and Scope 4.5 & 5.1 have been working just great for me in Windows XP ever since then (and I've even made sure that ...

Re: Creamware/Sonic Core together with AMD
Yeah, well, if I can get a Scope Professional card for like $200 and it performs better than a Pulsar 2 then I could certainly go for a couple of those instead ;D. When talking about such powerful hardware for such a low price then it's really a no-brainer
.

Re: Creamware/Sonic Core together with AMD
Seems like I'll be going with a P35 chipset after all. And the DP35DP seems okay too. Now when I get into trouble you can't say I picked the wrong hardware at least ;D. Now all I need is three Pulsar 2 cards
\o/.
Thanks for everything guys. I'll be back

Re: Creamware/Sonic Core together with AMD
Well, it's nice to get good performance overall. A Creamware card can run nice DSP plugins in hardware and has a hardware accelerated mixing and routing environment (Scope) but when it comes to VSTs a Creamware card can't help me very much performance-wise. And since I run a lot of VSTs I need that ...

Re: Creamware/Sonic Core together with AMD
I know that native Intel motherboards (such as the dp35dp) have already been recommended in this thread, and for this I am grateful. However, I have gotten a rather good deal on a computer setup which includes an Asus P5E3 (Intel X38) motherboard. According people I know this should work just as ...

Cool! That's really cheap! I've checked eBay a couple of times but I haven't found that many cards there yet. Any other good places to look?

Re: Creamware Pulsar 2 vs Sonic Core cards
the Intel dp35dp is proven with three cards.
Ah, you mean you run three Creamware cards on that motherboard? Or is that some official recommendation from Sonic Core? Anyway, sounds sweet! Thanks for the tip. Otherwise I just tend to pick any motherboard that supports the processor of my choice ...

Re: Creamware Pulsar 2 vs Sonic Core cards
Thanks everyone for the answers and for clearing things up.
So it is possible to run multiple Creamware/Sonic Core cards in parallel and to connect these cards to one A16/U unit each? Neat :)! That is, provided that one can find a motherboard with more than two PCI slots, which might not be so ...

Re: Creamware/Sonic Core together with AMD
Thanks a lot for the info
!
I was just wondering which processor manufacturer to go for
. Seems like this gives Intel the winning edge. So a Core2Quad would be the way to go then?
