Re: Scope card and surround/atmos in cubendo
Thanks Gary, are there anything in those pics that give any clue to the odd crackles and pops that have started again?

Re: Sound quality.
Its always been a fabulous sounding platform. I'm suprised that they havent developed and released a six dsp system with the PCIe inerface to take advantage of the explosion of DAW users across the board, maybe such a product would feature a usb and balanced phono outputs or even a HDMI out for home ...

Re: Scope/Dolby Atmos
No Scope currently does not support atmos. Yes the routing allows any form of surround setup to be implemented. I am not sure if a atmos receiver is required to decode signals. If a daw has a an atmos decoder then this should be enough

Scope/Dolby Atmos
Has anyone integrated their scope system into a Dolby Atmos set up? From what I understand if the 16 outputs of lightpipe went into a digital to analogue converter that would give 16 analogue outputs to connect the a combination of powered speakers and mapped from within Nuendo (or any other daw ...

Re: Asus P5Q E Bios tweaks ?
Hmm...thats interesting, a number of people have mentioned that some western digital drives are noisey, espacially OEM's.
The best way to reduce any noise is to use the Hitachi Drive utlity (vers 2.11) and switch on the accoustic management, ti will also set sata drives to full 300 mb/s again a lot ...

Re: Asus P5Q E Bios tweaks ?
That's intersting on the AHCI - do you have raid setup? I don't though I do swap data drives quite often for differing projects. I've been thinking of upgrading the case to a hot swap but haven't got round to that yet.
There's a lot of talk on different forums that AHCI is important for full SATA ...

Asus P5Q E Bios tweaks ?
Hi every one
Theres quite a few people on here now using the Asus P5Q E range of mobo's, myself included.
There's quite a comprehensive BIOS on it - any one got any good tweaks that streamline it, save a few resources and are stable for use with Scope?
For myself, all i've done is disabled th ...

Re: New Mobo
I little line I should have mentioned in regards the spec (in post above) that Scope suggested I build -
Quote (from Scope) - " Ram - 2x2024mb DDR2 Kingstone value ram, do not use Kingston HyperX Ram ! possibly unstable power consumption. "
I followed thier advice and got the value ram, works fine ...

Re: New Mobo
I recently bought Kontakt and upgraded to Cubase 5 and my old P4 was on it's knees trying to run it, so i decided to upgrade my mobo and cpu,so I emailed Scope and asked them for advice.
They actually they gave me quite a comprehensive spec for a new build which was :-

Re: Just in CASE ?
 you could change the name projector to a LED laser and project your name over the audience, you might just find a pci smoke machine on a gamers site and install that, you certainly have enough fans to disperse it

Re: Just in CASE ?
That's interesting, I was looking at some very nice (well to my eyes anyway) Gigabyte cases recently. I also use some rubber and foam in my drive caddys and it works vey well for vibration and noise.

Re: XXClone , move XP to other disk with keys and all
This is interesting, I currently have XP with all my apps registered on an IDE drive. It's a perfect installation, all nicely tweaked and runs a dream, though since upgrading to Cubase 5 it's a bit short on free space.

Hi guys
I've decided to replace my PC case and seemingly have run into blank wall ! It seems that cases are made smaller these days as PCI cards and slots slowly fade away.

Yeah Stardust
I agree, not a huge fan of the built in effects on soft synths, I think they're highly over used on many factory presets to bolster what are otherwise quite uninspiring sounds, I went for Kontakt as I quite like what the scripting can do, but it's a hungry beast on resources as you ...
