Been wanting to chop up resonating pads in time with percussion to get that classic trancy sound. Tried with the Vocoder, but the pads have a "drum" attack or "impression" rather than just a clear (but chopped) pad sound.

Anyone got a smooth side chain gate out there that doesn't rely on frequency ...
