Re: I need a simple sample player for Win XP

I'd recommend that for a xmas play, a hardware sampler such as an Akai or Emu would be the best option. Obviously, if the samples they want to trigger are very long then the memory capacity of a hardware sampler might be an issue, but if the samples aren't toooo long it would be the most reliable ...

Re: I need a simple sample player for Win XP

Looks simple enough. Except it keeps crashing when I try to load a sample or change a setting. :-?

I need a simple sample player for Win XP

Hello,

A friend mailed me a couple of days ago about a Christmas play he is working on. They need to play back samples that are linked to the white keys (because of labeling) on a MIDI keyboard. So C4 would be one sample and D4 another etc. Is there a freeware or shareware program that can load a ...

Well the main reason for me is to be able make the setup easier to manage. Right now I have 2 Macs. One running the old Mac OS and Scope and one running Mac OS X Leopard for everyhting else. With the new hardware I can get rid of a lot of stuff I need to connect the two systems. So this is going to ...

Normally I wouldn't comment on anyone else's music, at least not publicly. But you specifically asked for input, and judging from your web site you really care about your music and have invested a lot of your time and energy and money in it. You may not like what I have to say. Worse, what I say ...

worked fine for me with the above log/pass.

The track "Higher and Deeper" in "Digital new gear" won't work (asks for a adobe flash plugin).
All the other tracks i tried worked fine.
So far i liked the "digital engine" in the digital scope section, not had time to check everything.

biut it worked ...

Hello. Do you get a password window or is the web page unavailable?

It should work in the Netherlands, but it may take up to 24 hours before it's available everywhere. That's what they tell me.

Another thing. The site is just online, so it may not load yet. If you are not able to open the web page, please try again later. Thank you.

My soundtracks

Hello there,

I've been busy for the last couple of months building a site to post some of the music I've made over the past 15 years. The reason for doing this instead of posting samples here is because a lot of my friends and family don't visit sites like planetz and I think it's better to have ...

Hello,

Just noticed this thread. How about the following from a hardware point of view:

* Scope software running on a standard PC or Mac;
* Communication with an external box using TCP/IP with a UTP cable. A standard in communication that can still last a long time to come;
* You can send audio or ...

Hello,

I would advice not to use the Creamware MIDI driver on Mac OS 9 at all. It's better to connect a MIDI output on a USB MIDI interface (a MOTU Fastlane or MicroLite for example) directly to a MIDI input on a Creamware PCI card. This way OMS does not need to 'see' the virtual MIDI ports of the ...

Just read a very positive review of the Minimax in Future Music.

Banner: "This synthesizer oozes charm and class, and it's minimoog styling reeks of quality."

Conclusion: "... If you want to get a hold of a dependable, physical clone which sounds phenomenal yet doesn't weigh as much as your ...

Hi,

The idea is pretty much the same, exepct for the fact that I don't need volume control for the matrix. A good alternative for now. Thanks for the pointer! :smile:
