Re: I need a simple sample player for Win XP
I'd recommend that for a xmas play, a hardware sampler such as an Akai or Emu would be the best option. Obviously, if the samples they want to trigger are very long then the memory capacity of a hardware sampler might be an issue, but if the samples aren't toooo long it would be the most reliable ...

I need a simple sample player for Win XP
Hello,
A friend mailed me a couple of days ago about a Christmas play he is working on. They need to play back samples that are linked to the white keys (because of labeling) on a MIDI keyboard. So C4 would be one sample and D4 another etc. Is there a freeware or shareware program that can load a ...

Well the main reason for me is to be able make the setup easier to manage. Right now I have 2 Macs. One running the old Mac OS and Scope and one running Mac OS X Leopard for everyhting else. With the new hardware I can get rid of a lot of stuff I need to connect the two systems. So this is going to ...

Normally I wouldn't comment on anyone else's music, at least not publicly. But you specifically asked for input, and judging from your web site you really care about your music and have invested a lot of your time and energy and money in it. You may not like what I have to say. Worse, what I say ...

Hello there,
I've been busy for the last couple of months building a site to post some of the music I've made over the past 15 years. The reason for doing this instead of posting samples here is because a lot of my friends and family don't visit sites like planetz and I think it's better to have ...

Hello,
I would advice not to use the Creamware MIDI driver on Mac OS 9 at all. It's better to connect a MIDI output on a USB MIDI interface (a MOTU Fastlane or MicroLite for example) directly to a MIDI input on a Creamware PCI card. This way OMS does not need to 'see' the virtual MIDI ports of the ...
