There´s no SPDIF on XITE,- so it´s worthless.


You did not understand me.

My outboard FX (Lexicon etc.) are connected via SPDIF to my self build SPDIF<->ADAT connector. It makes one ADAT out of 4 times SPDIF and 4 times SPDFI out of one ADAT. So it needs one ADAT in and one out.

RME ADI-8 is my master. Scope is synced via ADAT. All other gear is synced by ADAT from Scope/Pulsar and WC from RME.

The onyl thing whats negativ on XITE is that is has onyl 2 ADAT I/Os.

I use it mainly for mixing and routing. I use the 64 channel mixer. A lot EQ, some comps. Sometimes reverb.

Is it still useful to use Scope these days.
I like to have to double mix option. So mixing in scope mixer and pre mix in Cubase.

during reinstall of the card I mistakely broke off the 47u capacitor on my 6 DSP pulsar2 board. See red circle. Exactly spoken from the I/O-card.
What is this capacitor for? What happens if it is mssing?

there runs nothing special in the background. Only Matrox-Driver-Software, Avira and Cubase Protection.
All of them are running the whole time. But the problem appeares only after 10min and ca. 30min.
I didn't figured out what service runs there. Must be service, no process ends or starts ...

Im using Scope 5, Cubase 6 and Windows 7.
I get some quasi peridodical ASIO overload spikes with a hearable "click" sometimes. All I know that they appear more often with shorter Ulli-Latency and more ASIO-Channels.
(using ASIO32 driver).

Is this a known problem? Or do you need more infos ...

Ah, ok. I searched for "Generator" and "Signal Generator" and didn't find something. Toner seem to be what could work. I'll see. But I never thought to search for "Toner" ...

I need Simple Sinus with different Frequencies from 30Hz to 20kHz, no Sweeps etc.
Or at least a 1kHz testtone.

Yes. I've tried all combinations. Admin (yes/no) XPKomp (yes/no)

Scope seems to work. I played something on youtube in Internetexplorer (via Wave drives).
When Cubase starts its says drivers are not properly installed programm will closes.
Once (dont remember the combination) scope crashes ...

I use Windows 7 32bit, Scope 5.1 (yeah, I did the upgrade) and Cubase SX3 (officially buyed version with USB dongle, no H20).

I tried to install scope 4.5 under windows 7 32bit. I have a scope 14 DSP and Pulsar II 6 DSP card.
The setup.exe runs only in xp sp3 compatibility mode. Otherwise it tolds that it couldn't find the drivers.
