Re: Will there ever be anything new?
There are users that feel anxious when they use a product from " a not so big brand". Because they use products that other people use and are guided by the hype. So after a while they start these marketing campaigns for scope, they are worried about scope future etc. This had happened numerous ...

Re: Will there ever be anything new?
I'm not bashing, I'm just fully aware that without new customers, a company ceases to exist.
I'll use mine until it lets the white smoke out.
I'd always hoped there might be a resurrection and more products.

Will there ever be anything new?
Just wondering if there'll ever be any new products or software from S|C.
As much as I love the system, it would be a hard sell at over 4k for a unit that hasn't had anything new added for a long time, has very dated GUIs for most things, has no big brand software manufacturers doing anything for ...

Re: Unusual behaviour.
Hey chilliman,
I also have a sh09 to repair (output stage and recapping). Do you have any links to how this is done? I've searched the web and found a few videos but none really suitable. Any help greatly appreciated.
No. I'll just replace the capacitors. It's easy if you can do a bit of ...

Re: Unusual behaviour.
I'll recap them.
Might not bother with the pulsar1.
I need to recap my mks70 and sh09, so might as well make a day of it.
Gives me an excuse to tinker with stuff. 🙂
The Dutch guy I got the scope pro off, he had it unused for nearly 10 years. So it's had an easy life. But electrolytic caps always ...

Unusual behaviour.
This is recent, but recurring.
Usually when communicating with another pc via adat.
Hardware or software?
Maybe time to recap my boards?
Anyone recognise this message and can relate it to a known thing.

Re: Scope Pro XLR
The answer is yes. If you swap to 96khz on any adat, it halves the channel count. Smux.
You can hale it again for 192khz if the interface supports it.
Got to be honest, 96 and above is totally ott for anything outside of film and broadcast media.
44.1 or 48 is enough fidelity for any audio ...

Re: A16
yes, there were z-link i/o plates.
z-link is not firewire, it only uses a firewire cable. connecting to firewire+damage.
make the proper cables to go from balanced to unbalaced. btw-the impedance and level of balanced and unbalanced are different....
Yeah, I get that. It's clearly not ...

Managed to snag an A16 ultra nearby. Pick it up tomorrow. Noticed it had Z-link. Was that on more than a Luna? Every card I've ever seen that is a pulsar or higher has been a breakout cable and a pair of toslink optical ports, or a blank plate.

Midi clock isn't clocking
With the recent move from v5 to v7, there's a few odd bugs.
One major one for me, midi clock hasn't got a clue what's going on.
I'm feeding 120bpm in, it's showing 230bpm or 167bpm or some other random tempo. Was working fine in 5.
Is there a workaround for this?
This isn't good for my workflow ...

Re: Files for STS Samplers in Scope 7
Nice space, my last house had an upstairs studio. Would you be willing to contribute some of these shots to the site frontend? Specifically if you could take your central work area with at least some of the sides framed and Scope up on the monitors, that would really complement the older shots we ...

Not much. My interface, a quasimidi technox, Roland MKS-70 with a pg800, Roland MKS 100 sampler.
Don't have crazy amounts of gear anymore. Just things I use and a couple of sentimental things. I work a lot more in the box than I used to.
Here's a little look around.
