Hello people, My pulsar card should be here later this week (can't wait). Never used one before and I'm wondering, has anyone used a pulsar card together with a yamaha dsp sound factoy card (in the same computer) Is it possible? Cheers and take it easy!

can you explain in what way you want the 2 board working together??
I had Pulsar2 and SW1000XG, buth had ASIO drivers, but they could not interact, nor could I access both cards through ASIO in my sequencer (Logic gold). Logic could only load 1 set of asio-drivers.

Cheers,
Rob

Hello mate, I was thinking that dsp 2416 are fairly cheap now, and that i could do my mixing on the 2416, making use of the two efx units for reverb, leaving the pulsars power for modulation efx and synths. I know all of this can be done on the pulsar alone, but the 2416 is a cheap way to get more out of the pulsar. If this is possible at all, I think it would only work in xtc mode. The other option is to buy a luna card, but this works out a bit more expensive.

You should be able to use the wdm drivers on the ds2416 at the same time as the asio on the scope.
You will have to route audio throught the digital i/o on the ds2416.
I have used a factory and an rme in cubase sx which has native support for the factory.

Yep, using different drivertechnologies works, but I got crazy of the latency the WDM driver threw in. It motivated me to sell the SW1000...

The DSPFactory has no latency, only if you use the asio driver for vsti's.
Using the mixer via wdm is fine.
