Tour de France

Hi everyone,

I came across last Kraftwerk album "Tour de France", and was amazed by the sound they use for instance in the first track (this kind of pad with a very slow filter sweeping).

Does anyone know what kind of machine/plug can produce such a sound?! Maybe this is a special made synth for them...

I'd like to approach this in CW environment.

i know that for the 'tour de france' single, they sampled a lot of sounds from... a bicycle.

well, unfortunately not, I was not in Paris when they stopped there for the 2004 tour. But I saw pics of the gigs (see link above), and it seems that the "visible" devices are reduced to the minimum...
