After upgrading to V3.01, at the system restart, a dialog says:kernel file puls2os.21k not found or invalid...check installation. My system is pentiumIII 800mhz,W2000pro (Sp2 . Mainboard Synactix2EP ( Chipset intel 815 ), 256 RAM, etc.
Version 3.0 Pulsar software no problem.
What this wrong ?

I am not exactly sure what the problem is, did you manually update the driver before installing 3.01? I tried to (and this worked in WinME), but in WinXp it said I was already using the good driver.

I did the update in my WinME install (currently running me/XP dualboot on the same OS partition), and it ran without any changes under WinXP...

Did you install 3.01 on top of 3.0 ? I made the mistake of uninstalling 3.0 first (I should have read the instructions !) and got the same error as you. I reinstalled 3.0 and then the 3.01 update and it worked. However I have other problems since I updated to 3.01 - as soon as I start playing in Cakewalk it shows a CPU overhead of >30% (it was only 5% before) and all screen redraws are extremely slow in both cakewalk and Pulsar. Has anyone else had a similar problem ?
