Has anyone integrated these cards? How do you interface them to maximize their respective resources?

Well, the fact that OASYS only have drivers for Windows ME and below (maybe you are using mac?), is leaving me with no other choice than to have the cards in seperate computers. I then link the signals thru lightpipe to my scope system. It works very well, and the oasys sounds nice for many things.

I also use the second computer with wavelab, as sound analysing software, like metering, scopes and so on...

I will have Oasys in a mac, Pulsar in PC #2
and recording into Sonar/Ableton Live in PC #1.
Analogue Outs on all 3 cards to a Mackie Mixer and back into PC#1......Mixing will be done in Sonar....unfamiliar with lightpipe ....wondering if I can route back and forth from Oasys to Pular digitally to use FX from each on the other's synths....I'm assuming I will have different software sets ups for each direction......

do the mixing in the scope pc. things will sound a LOT better and routing will be easier. you can go in and out(simultaneously) the sonar pc with lightpipe if you get an inexpensive card. adat lightpipe is an 8 channel digital optical format. you can connect various digital devices together, just remember that only one can be digital master. all others must be slave...

My Oasys and two Pulsar1 are in the same PC. I connected them with SPDIF and ADAT, so i have 10 Channels of Input/Output between Pulsar and Oasys.

In my Setup, the Oasys is the last Element of the AudioChain, so my MasterOutput goes through spdif from Pulsar into Oasys and through Oasys-AnalogOut to Speakers.

Some channels of Pulsar-ADAT-Out, i use for oasys send fx, like the Overb, delays and the mini-filter (MoogFilter). Because the Oasys has 24MB OnboardRam, memory-heavyweighted Effects like Delays and Reverb are better placed on Oasys then on Pulsar, reducing PCI-Traffic that way, i think.

I also use the Oasys AnalogIn for a KeyboardInput that is routed to the pulsar with SPDIF.

And finally, the great Oasys-synths goes via Oasys-AdatOut 1-6 to Pulsar-AdatIn for further processing and recording, leaving Oasys-AdatOut 7-8 for the FX-Send-Return (if i would need more SendReturns, i could reduce the SynthChannels and instead use them as additional SendReturns)

So layout looks like

_______pulsar____oasys
master spdif out -> spdif in -> Speaker
master asio out -> DAW/LogicAudio Record

fxsend adat out12-> adat in12 (fx Overb)
fxsend adat out34-> adat in34 (fx send 1)
fxsend adat out56-> adat in56 (fx send 2)
fxsend adat out78-> adat in78 (fx send 3)

fxret adat in78<- adat out78 (stereo)
osynth1 adat in1 <- adat out1 (mono)
osynth2 adat in2 <- adat out2 (mono)
osynth3 adat in34<- adat out34 (stereo)
osynth4 adat in56<- adat out56 (stereo)
A/D spdif in1<- oasys analog in
and
ews64 spdif in2<- EWS64 spdif out (clock)

my System is clocked at 44.1, saving some Horsepower on Oasys. MasterClock is my terratec EWS64 XL (Isa-Card, 64MB Wavetable-Sampler) through SPDIF clocking the Pulsar that clocks the Oasys through ADAT.

All these lots of Ins and Outs, the PulsarSynths, the OasysSynths, the FX are controlled with Logic using Creamware ASIO. At the Moment I am using Logic for Mixing and additional VST-Effects, but because of the second pulsar1 i bought a view days ago (including mix&master), i am thinking of transfering the mixing into Scope, controlled by midi, send from logic faders (perhaps using pulsar asio out only for monitoring and master recording/track bouncing in Logic).

THanks for this thread, I'm thinking of picking up an Oasys to put in my old G3 (with G4/500) now that they are getting cheap.
