I'm away from my main productiom PC, and I need to get my hands on some samples so I can scrap together a demo tune. I'm on a powerbook, running tracktion2, I have all the free vsti stuff, and I also have kotakt2. So, it seems like the logical step is to start looking for free soundfonts and see any of them are usable.

Problem is, there's no sfark decompressor for mac. Mac version handles only v2 files, and not v1 files. So I was wondering if anyone was kind enough to let me use their sf2 library. I'm particularly looking for good strat and les paul samples (strong picking), brass ensembles, ethnic instruments.

I already checked hammersounds. Some of their files are rar, and so I can unpack sf2 from that. But the other half is sfark so..

aha, thanx!
these seem to be in sf2 format so I can use them directly.
there's some interesting talks going on with a production house in shanghai.. who knows what can become of it. don't have my full production kit but it's worth a shot.

China's a pretty huge market!
