With great pain, with great hurt, I have to announce the death of one of the best friends I have ever had in life, a 69 years old Spanish man who lived here in Chile, a friend from years and years ago… We were close to each other in unusual ways, and we met many times in far away countries and had beautiful adventures together. It is difficult to see it, it is difficult to realise this so sudden fact because he was a very healthy man that could easily work for hours in the countryside cutting wood to hit the home, or walk for 4 hours without stop, drive, and so forth…
The miracle of birth brings us thoughts about how to live and why to live; death does exactly the same to our state of mind, and now I am thinking about the sense of living… He’s name was Francisco.
Friendship is a marvellous thing to experience!

Thanks for your words friends…
Death of close people makes you think about the way you are spending your time in life, as you suggest in your answers here. It really is a short time we are in, for what we would like to do and can do.
Loving each other sincerely, letting all the trouble, resentments and bad thoughts behind is the right thing. Forgiveness is the way to go on living, whatever the cost of it, precisely because life is more important than death, and because it is short.
It rises from my heart to ask everybody to love their fellows, to be gentler than you normally are, to take care of your mother and father today, your son, your daughter, a friend, the man in the bakery shop that seems always so alone, as tomorrow may already be too late. Kiss your children, hug your fellows often and show everybody the simple tenderness of a loving sight.
The dust is falling as I speak, and the clock goes on restlessly, there is no coming back for your and me, our time cannot be bought, stolen, manipulated in any way.
May all hard feelings die, if you have problems with somebody, put your hand in your heart and be honest, go and forgive this person, as life is more important than death.
Some music about this

I'm already a bit an anxious person; it's not so good for me thinking so..On 2005-06-23 09:48, Nestor wrote:

If I'll die tonight this is what I wanna think: after all, even if it's not much, I've done what I've done, in the best way was possible for me; even if it wasn't so good, I've been what I've been and I'm sorry I wasn't be able to be better

He used to sing in a choral group in Spain, but not really a musician. He nevertheless was in love with classical music, particularly with Beethoven. His home is full of CD collections and full furniture of old cassette tapes with same kind of music. He would also enjoy Dixieland as popular music, and some traditional Spanish music too.On 2005-06-23 13:47, Cochise wrote:
Does he was a musician too?
How come does he passed away?
I can’t still tell you the exact clinical reasons of his death as I have not had a word with the doctor yet, but I am more than sure he died from a heart attack, as he have had some cholesterol problems when he was a young guy, in those days doctors told him to take care of himself because he would easily go up in cholesterol numbers, and that this could cause problems to his heart in older age. Nevertheless, the hard thing here is that, he was completely healthy, nothing would be wrong that you could detect, all on the contrary, he seemed to be enjoying actually, the best time of his life.
He was a hilarious person; he could get ideas on the fly and transform them into brilliant jokes that would put you to laugh to tears… This shows a clear, lucid mind too, he had a very good memory too.
You know, when somebody goes through an illness and you see it, then starts to decrease in vitality and health, well, then you start thinking… “perhaps erm…” and one day you say: “there is no perhaps here, it sure he’s going to pass away soon, he’s too weak”. Life warns you about this person and is clearly telling you he’s living life. The hard thing is when all of a sudden, and without any warning, somebody goes, like in accidents… this is absolutely outrageous for those around him. Of course, it is no only about family and friends, it is about the person himself, and for him I am happy, as he has left life without suffering at all, and this is great, of course! He had not even the time to worry about death.
I don’t think of death as something “bad” at all, I think death itself is as natural as drinking water or going for a walk, it is part of life, but… well… his wife has gone a long path with him and she is destroyed.
