Bombs in London Phaze II
Ahh and just when the saturation news coverage of the last incident died down, here comes the new one.
Have you noticed the tone of these news broadcasts? Viewer messages like "I am furious that I am afraid in my own city" continuously flashed across the bottom of the screen, while the images constantly repeat from one inconsequential incident to another.
Have you noticed more and more people who you thought were cool people displaying alarmingly ignorant, xenophobic tendencies? This is exactly the same thing I saw happening with many Americans I knew on IRC after the 9/11 events.
Fear is a powerful weapon. It can turn the intelligent into the dumb.
This is it... they are going to keep doing this until the people are too pissed off with it all to care about new police powers.
We are, as the saying goes, f**ked.
I'd like to point out a website to you all, see if you can see any familiar names there
And read the slick corporate text *carefully*:
http://www.newamericancentury.org
[from the first page]
"The Project for the New American Century is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to a few fundamental propositions: that American leadership is good both for America and for the world; and that such leadership requires military strength, diplomatic energy and commitment to moral principle."
Well, I only detect one lie in that statement... that it's a non-profit organisation LOL.

I also think Blair should take full responsibility for the blood on his hands:
1. opening his country to attack after engaging in a brutal war in Iraq
2. creating a seething racial tension in hotspots like Leeds, Luton, Bradford, East London, by repeatedly using the word Islam when talking about the attacks. He *knows* full well that to the average drunken ignorant Englishman, there is no difference between a muslim and a terrorist (or between a muslim, a sikh, a hindu or whatever).
These are just the most conservative accusations I have against this reptile. I fully believe he is in cahoots with those greedy murderers in power in the US. He is a shareholder in Halliburton and profits from death and destruction. He wants, as they say, a piece of the American Pie.

No argument there.. people are so used to it now that they don't care or cannot recognise who their enemy is.On 2005-07-21 09:12, BingoTheClowno wrote:
Unfortunately, the f**king started long time ago...
If a battery farmed chicken has only known life in a battery farm, then it carries on living in whatever way it can. The only discernible enemy it can see is other chickens around it fighting it for space.
Meanwhile, is the farmer the enemy or the provider? He enslaves the chicken in a horrible way, yet gives it food and security from predators. But does he care about the chickens' lives, or what he can *get out* of the chickens' lives?
indeed - a strange phenomenon...
assuming Britain is not that much different from Germany... we have annually about 7k fatalities in traffic, 6k at home, 6k in leisure time and 17k caused by alcohol abuse here - adding up to a grand total of 36k.
there's no reason at all to be frightened by whatever madmen, but dayly life looks pretty dangerous...
yet there is this feeling against 'a group' as Darkrezin describes it - and I admit the pictures start to trigger a certain kind of anger in me.
I assume this must be older - probably a kind of archetypic territory behaviour.
As long as nothing happened it simply wasn't there (and btw I consider myself open minded to any cultural or religious group), but since some 8 or so years I begin to get annoyed by the news coverage of a certain kind of 'religiously motivated' extremism.
it's difficult to describe - but if a group demands tolerance and special respect while constantly beating others in the the most violent way - well, there's something wrong.
they ARE NO DANGER, they are not even statistically relevant, yet the bad feeling remains. Sorry.
I guess it's exactly those feelings that the opposite interest group is anticipating and going to exploit to their advantage.
I hope it's clear that this is in NO WAY directed against anyone spiritually related to a religion of his choice - it's against those who abuse religion for their personal goals, one cannot even call this sh*t politcal.
cheers, Tom

If you're talking about my concern being a paranoia, well in one way that is a good point - it is indeed a kind of paranoia, but it's based on evidence far more conclusive than the evidence presented to us in this 'war on terror'.
Fear? Not sure.. the system we're up against is way more powerful than anything the terrorists can do but I don't care because their Weapons of Mass Deception are not affective against me.
An ethical ideology is indestructible... the problem we have nowadays is that too many people just shrug and say "What can I do? It's the state of the world.. I have my own job and family to think about." Thus, ethics are defeated.
Our governments talk about Islamists preparing nuclear dirty bombs... but tell me who are the real radiation terrorists? You guessed it... the US has been using dirty radiation ammunition since the first Gulf war...
The fear and paranoia I'm talking about is the kind that is spread via mass media creating a mass hallucination. This kind of fear makes people cheer on the destruction of a nation and its people (Iraq) while wondering why things come back to haunt us. It is a very different, and much more dangerous thing...

This planet is polluted with mankind - but we have got a sporting chance still.
We *might* have a sporting chance with one-another, but our leadership's war-games may bring about more chaos than anyone anticipates. I predict spiralling tension & mass riots

On the other hand, it probably doesn't matter, because unfortunately we *do not* have a sporting chance against NATURE.
Here's a couple of cool links on Venus. The first one's an article by Will Hart, who's been studying the subject along with extraterestrial intervention on earth since 1969. The second link is to an excellent site more concerned with facts than fantacies or crazy predictions & it's VERY INTERESTING INDEED >>>(even if you'd rather bury ur head)

The magazine article (top link) shines a very unusaul perspective on our Chaotic times, tying together, wars, chaotic weather phenomena, natural dissasters etc. into the Earth-Venus synodic cycle "(a synod is a place of meeting)"

More stupidity:

Witnesses also said armed police approached three women wearing Islamic dress and a boy.
Onlooker Maryam Boujaama, 21, said: "They were just walking down the street and then police all came out and they were like 'Don't move, don't move'.
"They were searching the women and the boy."
Two of the women were reported as middle-aged and a third as 60 or 70. The boy was described as being 13 or 14.
She added: "They went straight to the women and put them against a wall to search them."
The women were then reported to have been driven away with the elderly woman in an ambulance.

Astro - I've seen criticism levelled at these kind of sites because of commercial activity, and it is regrettable. I've mentioned the 'consipiracy theory industry' in previous posts and IMHO it really lets down the real issues. However, it costs money to maintain a site, and people do have to live in order to write.
What other outlet is there for this kind of news? You simply don't get it on mainstream media.
And the commercialism is nothing compared to mainstream news networks

Here you can download a whole book about that wonderful statesman George Bush Snr, for free.
If you can be bothered, I encourage people to read it.

I really do understand your point - and I admit it's almost impossible to distinguish truth from tales on either side of the story - yet financial interests on both sides are hard to be neglected as well.On 2005-07-22 09:40, darkrezin wrote:

for me a page like the one I quoted is just a variation of the paid politician theme.
no doubt there are honest people among them, but there's a majority working first of all into their own wallets.
possibly it's the unsolvable character of the 'game' that drives me into sarcasm.
could also be that I've lost confidence in (social) human mind completely, but that reads far too pathetic - I don't consider myself a pessimist

yet if I compare the scale of this mess to what's going on environmentally (and also to what we can experience in 'cosmic', philosophical and scientific context), it's hard to take any side serious (regarding their 'motivation').
there is of course something very serious going on ON this planet (and not just because we're facing an obscure catastrophy from whatever origin).
for me personally it helps a lot to see the human race as what it is, ...nothing but mammals
