I agree that the ASB boxes should be given a seperate forum.

As much as it would be great to have SFP, Noah plus multiple ASB boxes all running within the one platform, we don't. The ASB boxes have about as much in common with the Noah as SFP.

If the Noah has it's own forum, then so should the ASB boxes. I'd also like to point out that I haven't heard any Noah users (or SFP for that matter) calling out for seperate forums for each plugin. Hence I don't think that one forum for all ASB boxes would be a problem.

what makes some of you implicitely think that this will be the last time for a new forum request?
We've seen a request for a Mastering/mixing forum, and some other ones.
I'm not saying there is no logic in the request, in fact there's logic in possibly every comparable request.
Which makes me think let's keep it as it is
peace anyway

Well as long as CW keeps 'diversifying' it's product range. What happens when they start producing the next gen. Scope platform and slap a new label on that? Do we leave things as they stand then?

Hubird,
what makes some of you implicitely think that this will be the last time for a new forum request?
That's far from the point.
We've seen a request for a Mastering/mixing forum, and some other ones.
Erm, hello :???:
I'm not saying there is no logic in the request, in fact there's logic in possibly every comparable request.
And what would be a comparable request ?
Which makes me think let's keep it as it is
Sorry Hubird, but your opinion on this is very coloured by the fact that you do not own a Noah or ASB, period.

no man, I'm not that primitive

I have just two concerns:
1. keeping planetz manageable (to one's personnel taste)
2. just trying to keep the music forum (3/4 of all) on the screen without having to scroll...((on 1280*1024)).

Not that bad yet

i have to scroll anyway, to see forums below the "preset" one  (i'm not on the same screen resolution, and won't be soon anyway).

i have a noah, i do not see what it has in common with asb, except a general philosophy (external box with remote softwares, some synths).
Are problems on asb the same as on noah ? not sure this confusion will make any good to asb and prospective customers looking for info...
anyway, not my problem

I see many unhappy Noah users. I see one Scope user that prefer to keep the Noah users unhappy because he's too lazy to put a finger on the mouse's scroll wheel. A bit selfish perhaps?
If I didn't care for others, I'd suggest to merge the 5 (five!) different sections related to Scope in one.

If anyone feels strongly enough about it just e-mail John a private message.

He's a pretty cool guy, and I'm sure that he wants everyone to have an enjoyable experience here.

indeed.
and as long as he did not, I'll speak freely
R.DO., that was what you call selective quoting, taking my second point only.
Hm, I still should have added a  at the end yet.

At least you take my signature seriously...

It seems i'm not the only one that makes this restrictive selection when quoting u hubird.
My english is not that good but as far as I understood your previous post, the first point was approximatively the same ("keeping planetz manageable" = too many sections = I have to scroll down?) so there was no need to quote it all.
I don't see how this restrictive quoting changes the meaning of your post...
whatever...

hehe, smart ass
you can also think of all those wrongly directed posts of some overly enthousiastic new members

In fact, in every thread that was about requesting a new thread, I have always voted for keeping it as it was.

At least you can't say I'm acting biased

Well good for you, Hubird, but this thread isn't about requesting a new thread, i think you've misunderstood  It's about Noah &/or ASB users requesting separate forums & discussing why they've currently been lumped together.
At least you can't say I'm acting biased
Not so sure about that Hubird. The fact that you said you don't own Noah or ASB means that your opinion is biased in the direction of a general SFP user who wishes to never scroll & thus thinks a new ASB forum would be bad if it caused this. Unfotunately for fans of not scrolling, PlanetZ will inevitably grow, which is surely a good thing to an extent.

We haven't heard from many yet, but i'm sure most new ASB owners will feel the same way & would like ASB & Noah forums separate. I haven't mailed John about this & certainly wouldn't recommend that we all flood his mailbox. I'm sure he'll read this thread & talk to us.

Your thoughts Mr. Cooper ?

well, I really wish you good luck, John will weigh the different aspects to his taste, and that's it.
what's your problem?
Even if I was the very only one with this opinion I would speak freely.
cheers.

Hubird,
well, I really wish you good luck, John will weigh the different aspects to his taste, and that's it.
I understand that & believe he'll do what's best for Noah & ASB rather than for himself. I dought very much that John is a selfish man.
what's your problem?
Just as the thread suggests as well as not being able to comprehend your persistant negativity on the subject when you admitted to not owning Noah or ASB
Even if I was the very only one with this opinion I would speak freely.
cheers.
As you may well. Feel free to post all over the shop, your getting closer to that 4000 post mark every time.

i agree there should be a seperate ASB forum, even though I own neither a Noah or ASB yet.
It could be compensated by joining together the tips/tricks and scope creativity (and possibly scope study) forums IMO.

imho having the ASB in anywhere near the same class, nevermind forum as the Noah is doing the ASB rather a big favour & doing the Noah the sort of huge injustice it doesn't deserve. They are not similar beasts at all. Unless CW turn round & tell us that the ASB boxes can load the Noah OS, that is, but even then.
