I've been thinking (always dangerous)...if Creamware is now into designing and building more elaborate hardware(ASB boxes),wouldn't it be logical for them to design a 16 channel mixer with a 15 DSP Scope system combined with a A16 Ultra equivalent all in one box? It could run a stripped down version of Windoze optimized for audio only. Logically it would have firewire, ADAT, and any other crucial interface options.

You would still have to interface with a computer to record to hard disc, I suppose, unless they go all the way and make it a studio in a box with sequencing software bundled in and an internal hard drive, perhaps tht could be an option

Imagine how nice it would be to have dedicated faders, and knobs to tweak your plug-ins? Make it so all you have to do is plug in a screen and a keyboard and viola, a fully functioning Creamware system without any of the hardware compatibility hassles. They could even make it with extra slots so that you could add more cards if you wanted to. This would make a killer live mixer, all those outputs (combined with Scope's routing fleibility) would be awesome for multiple monitor mixes!

I know there is nothing revolutionary about the idea, and I know that many of you have all the features I have listed aboove by cobbling together stuff from various manufacturers.

it would just be so much easier to market a package that is plug and play to the average musician.

My two cents...what say you?

Logical indeed. And would be a killer product if it were, say, at least PowerPulsar card with M&M package!
With full automation and the like. Yeah. Man, that would be nice!
Could finally replace my DDX3216 with some high quality stuff.
But, hey, they would need some mic pres integrated too.
