how to turn scopes mixers flat, and swich back to the previo
1. when i record on nuendo, i control each channel from scopes mixer.
example: if it is too loud, there is clipping and distortion is heard.
now, when i try to playback the tracks recorded, the distortion is quite bigger, thus different than the sound during recording.
is there a connection or setting that will allow me during recording to listen to "exactly" what is going to be played back?
2. what is the best way of setting the mixer of scope, in order to listen to playback after recording without the volume levels of the recording. when i listen to a channel that had the volume decreased on recording, if i have set the playback from the same channel(reasonable and easy) how can i make it "flat" but without loosing the settings of recording?

hi
1. The recording level into Nuendo, might be different from what Scope mixer shows.
Maybe Global settings in Nuendo.
If you adiosource is ASIO 1 > to Nuendo IN 1
On Nuendotrack choose OUT 2, and what goes into track 1 in Nuendo, comes into Scope mixer as ASIO 2 - you can connect it directly to your phones or monitor
2. I do reduce track levels from cubase (nuendo for you)
- mostly -1 to "more" than -14
- then i can keep scope mixer at ~100 for a start.
Hope you understand most of it

if you mix using the scope mixer, keep the mixer levels of nuendo in flat mode.
Another simple thing related to your problem, could be that if you record an audio signal from the scope mixer, after the recording you should keep the fader of the related channel of scope mixer to flat, otherwise the recorded material can not sound equal as it's recorded.

you should use a different bus out for the recorded material and route it to a new mixer channel.2. what is the best way of setting the mixer of scope, in order to listen to playback after recording without the volume levels of the recording. when i listen to a channel that had the volume decreased on recording, if i have set the playback from the same channel(reasonable and easy) how can i make it "flat" but without loosing the settings of recording?
yes , i have thought of this, about routing to different channel the recording material.
but is there an automatic way, botton or something, that will change the "same" scopes channel to flat in order to listen to the recorded material? i think that this is better than having... channel for rec-next channel for play.....channel for rec-next channel for play........etc. this is going to make the 24 channel mixer a 12 channel mixer.
tell me if i am wrong

Hä?
One "play-channel" as you name it for every track does not make any sense...
If you have an controll room matrix or want to use some chnnels to do that there would be some use for more than one "play-channel" but for every single track? You could use the solo button in nuendo for that or am I missing something?
Ahh...
Maybe this is what you want to do:
Use a pre Fader aux-send to a seperate bus (as many as you need) in nuendo and route it to a scopemixer channel (if you use them, too) or just to any output you want/available.
But as I don't know nuendo I can't say if the signal will still be affected by the channel inserts in nuendo (as long as any is used).

actually i need easy swich of scopes mixer channels to flat and vice versa.
i do not think that sending to other channels the recorded material is convenient enough.
perhaps more convenient is to use the 4896 mixer and have the 24 channels for recording and the other 24 channels for playback.
there must be a way to swich to flat easilly and back again without loosing the settings.

i found something very helpfull.
you can save each channels settings by storring them. the same can be done with eq settins, aux settings and compressor settings.
it is very convenient if you use the same name for each project working on, above all machines working together(sequencer, or rewired programs that run in the same project should be svaed having the same exactly name).
but..... can i store the settings for "all" channels of scopes mixer together(one store), or is it compulsory to save each channels settings one by one?
