I just thought I'd let you know that anyone born in the 1970's in Britain will know that the Wombles live under Wimbledon Common,London, are small furry creatures with big noses, and spend their lives making usable objects out of waste that we throw away. The Wombles have names chosen on the random spinning of a World Globe, and can in fact, sing and dance.
They are the creation of Elisabeth Beresford,Author and probably Ecologist.
