hello i have a strange problem, i have dropouts during recording when tracking more than 6 tracks at a time in 24bit /48 khz run into adat cables by a behringer ada800 converter, it seems a bandwidth problem, because when i record in 24 / 44.100 it does not have problem to record 7 tracks at a time... the report on sonar is "CAN'T RECORD AUDIO TRACK, AUDIO DISK MAY BE FULL" but its' not full!!! 200 giga are free! the pc is: pentium 4 2800 2gig ram pulsar 2 cakewalk sonar 4 software windows xp system USING ASIO DRIVERS (WDM ARE TERRIBLE CRASHING ALL THE TIME) (using old sfp version "a" cause the newer ones are crashing my machine) and a serial ata hard disk. cand someone help me please?

you should be able to record more than 24 tracks at a time.

was this a fresh install of the os after a repartition and format, or is it an old os install?

is dma enabled?

something is not properly set up, but one would need a lot more detailed info to begin making a guess as to what...
