Alloha,

Last week I tried Win XP and somehow I have a small prob!! I let XP start with the standard project in the background (even when I open a project with only wave source and pulsar analog dest in). I just want to listen to some mp3s with Winamp but as soon as I open it Pulsar stops working correctly! There are always small breaks (almost 1 second)....especially when I start another application like the Explorer (and then open a folder)!!

Does anyone experienced the same???

THX and much fun tonight...cya in 2002

I think I solved the prob ;D

It seems as if it is up to my network card. Instead of putting it into Slot 3 I moved it to Slot 4 and Voila....it seems to work...HOPEFULLY for a bit longer now!!

THX for help =/.....

Somehow changing the IRQ didn't help!

Strange that no one has a similar prob because my setup is almost the same like the one of other Pulsar users:

-TUSL2-C
-512 MB RAM
-IBM 40 GB
-Elsa Gladia Geforce 2 GTS
-Pulsar I + Pulsar II (on Slot 1 and 5)
-Networkcard (Slot 3...without the networkcard the prob is still there!!)

...but I found out that when I put Pulsar from 44 kHz to 96 kHz there a less breaks.
But when I open my current prjoect which uses 3/4 of the DSPs and I switch to 96 kHz I get DSP capacity limit reached

It is also strange that after installing Pulsar 3.01 in Win XP the "Direct Sound source" module is missing!! Could it be that directx is the cause of the prob??

THX for all answers

Did you try assigning more mem to Winamp? You can raise it's preload in preferences/settings from winamp.
