my first dynatube tries
i posted a simple song using dynatube on the music section of the forum...
about the plugins...
the clean sounds are amazing, they totally blow out my bheringer VAMP pro.
i have a yamaha pacifica, and i suppose that the vox and fender emulation with a gibson or a stratocaster will be terrific...
about the distortions:
at the beginning i wasnt stunned by the mesa.
then i realized that if i added some vincoDT, a little distortion with Tdrive (like a stompbox pedal) and a little EQ (small cut at 300-400, small boost at 1.2K) the results were very very good.
moreover, i found that the combination of mesa amp (on vintage or raw settings) and JM speaker emulation worked best than MB amp+MB speaker.
i can obtain huge metal tones with this...
i also found that the "distance" knob has really a great importance in shaping the tone, you should not forget to set it...
about MIDI: i can automate erverything (i use dynatube as insert in the mixer) but i foudn a small bug, can you confirm it?
i load dynatube as insert in stm2448 mixer.
i choose an amp model and i assign all the knobs to my external midi surface. everything works OK
but if i change amp model, the midi controls are working in a strange way: if i move my external knobs, i hear that the sound is changing (so the remote controls seems to work) but the virtual knobs on the screen are not moving.
i even tried to assign and save different setting for the different amp models, and then loading the appropriate assignment each time i change the amp model, but neither in this way the problem is resolved.

Are these amps supposed to be used for recording like a Line 6 Pod (amp/speaker/mic emulation) or live like a Line 6 Flextone (amp/speaker only emulation)?
I only liked using devices like the Pod for recordings because they make you sound like you're playing a miked up amp in a room next door. Even though they both use the same engine underneath. The Flextone amp doesn't have the mic emulation coming out from the speaker so it sounds more like you're playing with the amp next you. How are you supposed to use/hookup these Dynatube plugins?

L8ter Oscill8ters!
You can disable speaker-emulation and essentially use this as a preamp, so both scenarios are possible.
I found a bug myself:
If you start out with a MB:MB setup, change the cab to something else, change the distance controll and change back to MB-cab, the distance knob will not reflect the actual setting. You will have to nudge it.
