Hi all,
I have a Luna II V3, I use Logic audio and everything was good until I decided to upgrade my win98 with win98se.
Now, after installing s.e., when lauching logic (after Luna) the loading crashes when initialize the wave player if I don't connect the "wave source" to the Luna mixerV2. With win98 this didn't happen.
Witch can be the problem? Could really be s.e.?
Now I send to the Luna mixer only the master out of logic, I know it's not the rightest way to use the power of Luna but I'm new to this and I'm taking confidence.
I hope someone can help me.

Did you do a clean format and then a reinstall, or did you do a 98SE upgrade?

Upgrades are almost always not a good thing; messes up your machine (only XP is 'good' but I still only fully trust a clean, complete reinstall).

Then you'll want to reinstall your Luna software after installing your OS (you did this?) and setup your default and background project.

A good set of basic routings are as follows:

Wave Source -> Luna Mixer
DirectSound Source -> Luna Mixer (Win98/SE/ME only!)
Luna Analog Source -> Luna Mixer
ASIO Source -> Luna Mixer

Luna Mixer L&R Output -> Luna Analog Destination

Save this as "default" project (View > Settings click the disk icon next to "default) Load up Luna before starting your sequencer, and you'll always have these routings set for yourself!

Oh no, definitely don't go back, 98SE/ME are good. The fact you did a clean install is also really good. Just make your project as I mention or have Wave Source wired, should be good.

There is a problem with Logic. When you install Logic, it sometimes makes a mess of it's preferences. You have to check the 'win.ini' file for the section of '[logic]'; there could be something there like '10' or '7' behind the wavedevice. To enable, they should be set to '1', to disable set to '0'. What you can also do is look for the 'logic32.prf' and move it somewhere else but the Windows folder; logic will build a new preference file for you. Same goes for the 'autoload.lso' file; move it somewhere else and open Logic so it will rebuild a new auotload; if you need things from your old autoload, you can open that later and copy what you need.
Good luck,
Yoonchi.
