Yep.

I hope the world is laughing at the waste of space that is the England team. Out of the whole team, only Hargreaves, Lennon and the defenders could be bothered. Lampard, Beckham, etc - overpaid and overhyped.

The funny thing is that the media here will probably keep saying England fought hard and deserved to win

the Portugese are a bunch of diving cheaters and don't deserve to win anything.
(and yes I know some of the dutch are diving cheaters as well, but the portugese are worse )

anyway, congrats to France for beating the thoroughly dissapointing Brazil.

The Portugese aren't likely to win anything anyway if they couldn't beat that joke of an overpaid England team.

& yes, VIVE LA FRANCE!!

"the Portugese are a bunch of diving cheaters and don't deserve to win anything."

Whatever, man. I used to be a big fan of Van Basten, and I remember when he had to quit playing the game after a very hard tackle from a forgettable defender... It's a shame that he would instruct his players to do the same to Ronaldo... What will it take for him to learn his lesson? Co Adriaanse, dutch coach for Porto (Portugal), has taken out his top player from the field because he thought he was way too aggressive against other players. That's fair play, you should tell Mr. Van Basten!

As far as Portugal is concerned, they'll take anyone in a fair match, and to call Portugal "cheaters" is to ignore what's happening in Italy right now, and some amazing decisions taken by the referees in the world cup. But to each his opinion.

Portuguese players are playing for the greatest teams in the world - Chelsea (champions), Manchester Utd, O. Lyonnais (champions), PSG, FC Barcelona (champions), Inter Milan, Valencia, FC Porto (champions), Benfica and Sporting Lisbon, so why not show them some respect?

Lets just say Ronaldo is a cunning little knob cheese who deliberately aggrevated the Wayne Rooney sending off then winked to his bench as he walked away after his fellow Man U' player was sent off. Dasterdly tactics indeed!!

If the Portugal players are cheats, then the English players are astonishingly stupid. Rooney knew that he would get provoked in this game (ummmm did he not watch the Portugal v Holland game!) and he fell for it. He has no-one to blame but himself.

I think any player would have done what Ronaldo did (run to the referee to complain about the foul). I have to say I didn't see him waving an imaginary card to force the referee to send Rooney off.

I think the English should blame the English players - too busy living champagne lifestyles with pop-star girlfriends, too hyped by a media starved of anything else to write about. It's embarrassingly self-indulgent, and the world should quite rightly by laughing.

I think the whole thing is summed up by people like Beckham and Lampard - Beckham crying because he couldn't play any more (boo-hoo... the guy who came on for him made him look like a joke) and Lampard, who had a comedy tournament yet was quick to blame the other team.

Well, most footballers aren't particularly well educated to say the least. That's not to say that they're stupid, but more a legitimate excuse for their stupidity

How anyone deserves to be paid millions of pounds a year for doing what footballers do (stars or not) completely escapes me. Even unenthusiastic Sven was reportedly on 5 million pounds a year, which is just a scandalous waste of money imo.
