Requirements:
- VDAT
- Soundforge

1) Hook up your mixer to all vdat tracks
2) Enable 2 channels on VDAT
3) Play samples, wait for silence, play more samples
4) repeat for other 6 channels
5) load files into soundforge (merge vdat wave files to one stereo file)
6) Use Soundforges: Auto Region
7) Use Soundforges: Export Regions
 Now you have lots of new samples!

I have used this methods to sample lots of scope synths, am now feeding my samples thru some modulars with filters/effects and recording those for even more, better sounding, variations!

I think I have made around 1500 samples this way in not so much time!

Hope it helps

If you are making a lot of samples yourself, then take a look at SampleRobot. This cheap little program automates all sampling functions, even if you are sampling acoustic instruments: http://www.samplerobot.com

Harmany,
I have someone sampling some SFP synth presets 4 me as we speak. I always thought that VDAT was a great sounding dev. 4 doing this. I feed some WAV files back into Solaris myself 4 a more diversifying type of sound. Usually digtal EP's and Kyma waveforms in reverse give me some nice envelopes in advance of the meat and potatoe synths that follow. The reverse vocal vowels b4 a FAT BASTARD synth sound usually gives me a unique sound that really stokes up my DJ partner.
