how the story started (I'll keep it short)...

very strange, I've had the 'early' demo of the RMX 160 and the current one (with the LED GUI).
I liked the first version, but found the 2nd a complete piece of crap - in fact it's so harsh and metallic (with just one omnipresent 'sound' whatever you dial in) that there must be something wrong (and completely messed) imho...

tom,

maybe the zip is corrupted, you should downloaded it again or verify your system.
the new rmx160a has been downloaded 248X (and already sold) and you are the first who have a problem.

If this plugin is considered to even remotely remind at the respective AMS device, then either my or your ears need service by a physician.

I'm in no way interested to spoil your business, but I also don't want to make a fool out of myself.

U are right man but i got that phase cancellations with your plugs only.
Putting you s9000 mastering comp (or what tha fuck is called) in my mastering chain (psy q/optimaster/sl9000/timeworks mastercomp hard) when i swith to mono the sound becames horrible.Without your stuff no problems...so i think i can't buy your plugs for the moment...
dear Eric, as a super smart sound engineer (according to your own estimation) you probably know that partly phase cancellations can easily make a sound tinny and metallic, so why not just answer that someone had a similiar problem ?On 2006-05-21 10:19, digitalaudiosoft wrote:it's not false kwild, and i think we've found the problem :U are right man but i got that phase cancellations with your plugs only.
it's due to our protection module we use, that we still have modified several times !!!
first all all, it's not a total cancellation and what is more strange it doesn't appear on all plateforms !!!
the protction module seems to react differently in several situations.
We made all of our tests on full non protected versions, and the problem you've found actually exists on protected modules, sometimes ...
we are going on working on this protection module, in order to propose every one something the nearest as possible to the full versions,
thanks again for this remark,

Instead a bunch of absurd accusations and quotes of statements I never made.
I (once) appreciated DAS as a new developement company (I spare the quotes) and even 'defended' your GUI approach of the RMX-160, yet my questions regarding it's midi control are ignored, as are those (by me and a few others) regarding it's algorithm.
Fine, so will be your products by me (... was about to buy the reverb)

happy mixing, Tom
