you'll need no other place if you want a shoulder to cry on when your system won't do what you so dearly desire.

Thanks for the repiles!

I am sure i will need some help! T.I.A

I got mine used, with sts3000 and eds16.
but it's not with the new software.

How important is the software upgrade?

Absolutely get 3.01, and the Propack (for $149) is highly recommended.

there are many new features in 3.01:

new devices (like good quality reverb, new and more flexible mixers, new synths, etc.); the XTC mode is (as they say*) a very comfortable one, too

the STS3000 got some new filters

the pro-pack gives you new plugins like fx, synths, vocoder3 and a highly recomended pulsar mixer!!!

And you couldn't forget about the possibility of installing your card in win2k/xp (not fully functional but...)

____
* as a Mac user I only heard of it

Hey guys! He just said he had a LUNA, not a Pulsar!!!

But still, you should get the v3, for almost the same reason, new reverb (very good imho), new mixer with switchable mono2Stereo track, couple of new effect, like the ducking deley (tryed this on a 'Pink Floydish' guitar solo??)

New AC3 output possible, new ASIO2 drivers with 64cha.

There is a couple of thing you should really get in the new v3, primarily, the mixer, it fix a bug that prevented of using stereo effect on inserts before.....

Hey! MarcusPocus, the Pulsar I is, well, a Pulsar so, you already have one.

Yep, I'll get one too(or a Scope) as soon as we start to work on a new contract...

You have to admit though, the Luna is an very versatile platform. It just that it's excellent at one or two things at a time. Anything, but not all at the same time.

Oh yes! I can feel it coming... can't control myself..... need more... dsp..... more.....MORE!........ Argh!!
