These are a finicky combo which seems to have a kink in it's armor. I load a project up which contains ProOne ( Mixes w/SE-1x ), Morpheus V2, amd Prodyssey. Each with 8 voices, except the Mono beast ProOne. Then I add Solaris w/ 2 voice polyphony, and sneak it up to 4, then 6, then 8, and not once encountering the Optimise windows. They really stop my creative flow those little fucks. Since this seems to be unstable any other way. I could not tolerate those windows at a gig, 4 I would be yelling at my poor LCD like the cave man in the Geico adds on TV.
I pray this works again like this, it seems like once you get those windows they just keep coming back, and at a live gig this is totally unacceptable.
I love this cheap Conroe E6600 / 965 combo though. It is a treat with SFP / Giga, and is so smooth and snappy with the GUI that I must say it is a great combo for Scope. We shall see how it works with Gigastudio VST, and EnergyXT in a couple of weeks though.
I suggest to any live players though, do not mix Type I, and Type II cards if you plan on using synths with big voice counts, or memory intensive reverbs, and delays. I will use DAW #1 as backup at the gig just in case. A simple A + B routing 4 a quick redundant move if needed.

I think that mixing the two is generally a bad idea from what I've read. Why did you opt on two type I SRB expansions? For an extra grand you could have had 2 type II I think, if you paid like $500 per SRB or what not. =)

Yes I Know,
They were cheap, so I opted for them. Since they are good one card at a time when attached to a Type I card, I will use them in FOH DAW, and Drum sub mixer DAW. But my synth DAW is now been altered to 3 Type II cards, and I couldn't be happier. I now have Solaris, ProWave,ProOne,B2003, and SatMixB, with FX per patch and a few other handy FX for GSIF channels. So if I sounded sad at first, it's O.K. as another home for the cards will work fine. But stay away from Type I SRB's if possible, as they are quite finicky and no where near as efficient as the Type II's.

Jimmy,

Yeah, I can get some type I's for cheap. I trust your opinion and will probably end up getting two Type II srb's shortly and a professional card from some place local.

Btw, how many masterverbs are you getting now that its all type II's? I also saw you had a dualcore setup. How's that working out? Do you have both cores enabled?
