mmm, that should do the job without a problem, so its likely not to be that at fault (your mobo is 400-450W minimum for stable running which is why I asked)

No the problem is not solved.

But i think with all the clean install and tweaking I've got a more stable system.

My last tests show clearly a problem with this sts5000. Same Cubase file - SFP project with the only difference : sts5000 or B2003
sts5000 always ends up with hanging up windows.
b2003 is running without end, no way to bug it down. In the end I tried heavy editing while playing - stable.

whats so different in the sts5000 ?

its combination sts - sx !!
with another sequenzer i dont have trouble same file; midi - loops - sts - sx or nuendo isnt a good idea;

Take it one step at a time would be my advise. Don't connect up lots of midi gear until you've got a clear picture of what may be the problem. For example, if you suspect STS to be the problem, I'd do some serious testing without STS involved. If you have no problems until adding STS into the picture, then you'll have found the source, if not, you'll have eliminated a possible suspect.
since this post, I worked with projetc where I removed the sts. I had no windows hanging until now, and this time it came when looping around a bass - drum thing and playing a long solo on my midi keyboard that is connected to the pulsar midi in port => cubase => back to sfp into the pro-12.
so the problem is not solved, is not limited to the sts - do you have any suggestions of what i can trie ?

Hi Ali why is it so difficult to have contact with Andre ?
I think his advice for the Asus p5wd2-e premium is more of COMPROMISED to Creamware products,sts crushies all the time.
He's also not available just to inform his customers about complains base on his recommendation.what exactly is the reason & he's advice on his configurations both hardware & the BIOS may be might help.

hello Ali,
When clicking on the last 2 links - I get a blank page with the only text : Hacking attempt!
I agree with okantah that the help of Andre would really be appreciated
