Me as a Pole I had to learn Russian for 8 years - I confirm - it's written Solaris in Russian

thanks Sam, that really helped - I wasn't sure if the 'H' extended the previous letter or was on it's own - looking at a couple of other words I've added it as the N-sound to my mem

Cyrylic letters when written using latin letters look stupid. There is a road sign in Poland - I think it's only one - before a very dangerous crossroad with a warning in many languages (letters are more or less 50cm high) - "CAUTION ACHTUNG UWAGA BHUMAHUE!" The last one I thought was written in an African language while it was [vni'manie] in Russian
From my first visit there I always write an sms to my brother with the word so he knows I'm at the sign
He does it, too
