New FREE Synth at DSPDEV.com to demonstrate the DS synth
00:00 (French time) the Analogift is released. You can download it from here
I'll release tonight a FREE synth named DS Synth. I do this to give to the ones who can't afford an Analogy synth, a way to play and use the DS synthesis.
This is a mono synth that uses 4 DS Osc based on formant type waveforms (formant 1,2,3,4.)
Adsr for filters, a 3 filter mix system (low, passband and hi pass), chorus and an amazing fat sound.
It is not a demo but a free synth with no limitation (only the polyphony, it is mono).
Of course it is FAR AWAY from the performance of the Analogy that will be released the 18th.
But it is worth compared with most other synths, it does sounds completely different (thanks to the DS synthesis)
I will update this message at the time of the release with the link to download it. Also I'll publish it in the Device section of Planetz.

yeah, you gotta jump through hoops to get at dspdev freebees - and further, the registration is buggy, would not let "US" count as a country 'cause it was only two letters (that was for freeverb, and it is fixed now). However, having already registered, I get an "already registed message" - yeah I know, but this doesn't help access the free synth!

actually, most everyone likes free devices. it's those who cannot get at them who complain . . .On 2002-02-16 14:59, mjerom wrote:

you need dsplib for almost all dspdev, stuff - no big deal, just a couple a files in your dsp folder (defex' stuff uses this sometimes too . . . )
This DSPLIB contains new DSP codes that needs to be copied in your pulsarappdsp directory or whatever your dsp directory is located on your hard drive. I see that you have never tested one of our products.
I've developped more than 100 new dsp codes that extends the basic potentiallity of your soundcard. The new DS synthesis waveforms are in this library.
About the fill-in form: how much time does it takes to fill-in a form? Do you realize how much time I've spent to create this device? Maybe you want me to burn a CD and fly to your home? Filling this form give me essencial information about who you are and what are you interests. It drives my projects.
Everyone who has subscribed knows that I'm not spamming, and they receive an email only when something important happends.

-Your DSPLIB contains some nice goodies that are not included in the original CW kit. Thank you for that. Thank you for putting them together.
- http://www.neutron7.com uses dsplib for ie. Retron's disto.
-I don't mind you asking people's info, if they don't want to give, they don't need to. Plenty of other CW freebies. I choose to try DSPDEV devices, I gave my mail. If you (Nikko) think these questions are usefull and will improve DSPDEV, giving our mail is the least we can do.
