a track for you
a track for you
using drum sounds sampled mostly from the nord (a couple 909 hits in there too), going through the modular. some prowave and another instance of modular for the bass line. basically just muting/unmuting tracks sequenced in the mpc in real-time, hence the rather sloppy arrangement. in due course i will get an interface to route the individual outputs of the mpc into modular so i can have different effects on each hit, and some kind of midi controller to control the effects which should make things much more dynamic. in the meantime unfortunately i can only affect the entire drum track
but anyway, have a listen.

I'd like to hear what a second LFO could do, when assigned to the LFO that directs the fiter frequency
It'd keep the rhithmic feel of the drumloop, but eliminated the 'drum' character.
The Elektron MachineDrum is good at this, I'm just exploring it now.
The sound would get more 'minimal', if that's what you'd be after.
You would need to add another (or the same) kick tho, or also other parts like the hats.
Nice track anyway, congrats

@hifi - prodigy 'experience' is one of my favorites
hubird, im actually considering getting a machinedrum - ive noticed your comments around here on it and after reading some reviews and such it seems like it would be a good purchase for me. im well into the idea of drum synthesis too, as opposed to scavanging from sample cds and whatnot. a bit pricey, but if its well constructed, unique and small (i like small machines) im all for it.
anyways this was quite encouraging and i will definately post some more stuff soon.
cheers!
