Mileage from Luna II/Home card?

Post by aallvor »

How much stuff can I run with this card?

The SoundonSound review says
"there's enough power for low-latency operation, the extensive signal routing (ideal for anyone looking to use Gigastudio on the same machine), a good reverb, and a few other effects or maybe a synth".

Thing is, I only really need the routing and a good reverb, not much else. Are there any Luna users with the same modest needs as myself that feel the card is sufficient? I'm really strapped for cash for a long, long time...

Eh, that was the question, sort of

Definitly yes ! You will have a good conversion A/D and D/A for sure... and what you need (rooting, reverb, few effects). It just depends on what plugin you will use... Remember that many here began with a 3 dsp so you can upgrade your system later if you want (you can put up to 3 boards together).

Should you want a good reverb and I (just my opinion though :D ) would suggest you : masterverb pro (a 4.5 upgrade would give you this reverb and many other plugins, for example synth), DAS RMS160 (special offer) or STW P100/A100 (cheap for what you get !), At least i know these 3 ones and they are very good to me ...

Of course if your 3 dsp board has scope 4.5, then the masterverb pro is may be registered. Just check it !
