i certainly don't think you are a bad man, piddi, far from it! i respect your intelligence and i thank you for the conversation. the crack about your business as bouncer was strictly rhetoric in response to the tone taken in breaking down my statements. i know you're not insulted, but i apologise anyway.
Global Warming

I like your input, as it passes by the traditional left-right propositions (something Bingo obviously isn't able to take it that way, no offend Bingo).
Also you are always extremely well informed, but the way you combine all that information to a rather deterministic, hence pessimistic, a-historical and leaning to conspiracy universe of your own sounds rather weird to my European ears.
adding: a good theory always has to be able to incorporate the countermovements and internal contradictions of historical processes.
Just a detail to show this: It is impossible for any today's gouvernment or UN military action to bomb cities like in WWII (Dresden).
Not that 'precision bombing' is to be defended, but it makes clear that the people in the streats don't accept that anymore, in pun of loss of support of the (voting) masses.

Why don't you show us some examples Hubird? Have you read through all these posts?hubird wrote:no, I don't see where Piddi was treating you so badly.
at least he's argueing.
My guess is you're determined by Bingo's style, but Piddi can't help that

the example isn't the theory
To my conviction a socio-political theory or analysis has to be dynamic, according to the basic conflict model.
Historical Materialism is the most known representation of this view, as you probably know.
'Historical' as the conflict part (Hegel), materialism (Feuerbach) as the motor ('follow the mony').
In my example I try to show that soner or later there are always countermovements in society.
Those with the power (the elite, the gouvernments) guard their sources (oil i.e.), and may like to bomb every now and then, but their power is relative (no barbarian city bombing anymore).
All just in a nut shell

co2 emissions depend on temperature, temperature depends on solar activity - temperature is not dependend upon co2, nor is solar activity - solar activity has risen over the past 100 jears, on all planets in the solar system ice is melting - do you think its because of co2??
most of the co2 emitted comes from natural sources. Co2 levels are on a historical low - co2 does not hurt but sustain life on the planet by supplying plants the food they need to grow faster, co2, and then they supply us with more o2...
the whole global warming theory is to panic you to accept new taxes out of nowhere, ever heard about a general carbon TAX? no? you will soon
start informing yourself even if you dont have much time to do it - as you succeed in getting information, you start investing into the right things, which "buys" you time to invest more in information gathering
we all know: time = money
share information with others, it is is a social not a religious law that helping others means helping you in the long run.
go to sleep timely to reset your mind but then wake up!

Objectively, Alex Jones is just as questionable as the information he supposedly clarifies for us while making a lot of money from doing it..... I've watched a fair amount of his shows & interviews with him in documentaries & the main impression I get is that he's not necessarily to be trusted if you take on board his theory that the globalists' anti-conspiracy policy is to hide in plain site what they don't want you to see or realise.
