So i bought a second card

Post by Fluxpod »

Ok i have a pulsar 1 which is fine but you know,so i got myself a scope 2 from e-bay yesterday.Thing is...do i need to reinstall the software? Or do i have to switch the pulsar1 in a "lower" pci slot? ( I heard the upper card will be the master,is that korrekt?) I also tried to get me a s/tdm cable vie sonic-core phone support just to find out the number doesnt exist anymore...i e-mailed em just 5 mins ago..will see :/

Would be nice if someone could clear the questions :)

stick it in, connect the stdm cable in each end, and hey presto, everything is ok.

It might ask for drivers (cant really remember) but they are allready in your computer so it should be ok. As for what pci slot to use, have a look in your motherboard manual as to what slots are sharing adresses.

have a look here:

Try the rb address - i bought Dynatube late last night and Ralf was there to give me my keys! You should get a quick response. If you use a hotmail account maybe try another one (although i use a hotmail one with no problems).

/rant.
So after over 2 weeks i still have not recieved the s/tdm cable..i payed upfront and it starts to piss me off.Why is it taking so long..i wrote an e-mail on friday to mrs Hutmacher to ask whats up with the order..no reply..great service Soniccore!
I am up for studiobuilding the next week and i will be the person the studioowner WILL ask : Hey you work in the genre for 10 years + ..what do you recommend as a good Interface/dsp solution...I have no idea if i can recommend a 3 X 14 dsp system now because i will be the one who gets the complains when something is not going in time.

Its incredible frustrating for me to deal with stuff like that....sorry for my ranting but its just annoying :x

Also calling em is like trying to reach the moon....

I never had problems with keys to be fair.I recieved em 3 hours after i mailed em.
I already mailed mrs hutmacher on friday..she is in charge for the sales..i mean..its just 1 cable....how many mail should i write to recieve it,its paid and all that.

And i live in germany....so no idea if they strapped it to a pony and just gave it a slap in the generell direction.

well, I asked ralf for some of those plastic screws to fasten an I/O plate, and had them 2 days later. at no charge, btw...
there is great service from soniccore. they even called me at work to verify if it's ok to relocate my A16U insides to a different chassis because the screws had to be drilled...

Oh and until now the service was ok..but this is just annoying, they just could have send me an e-mail about any issue that might have happened...

ok, i see and completely understand your frustration... but, nevertheless, if you can afford a 45 dsp system, it's peanuts, isn't it. ;-)
