Gustav is a totally overworked version of GuGa, my guitar-gate.
+ a feedback circuit which you can feed with the amp-output of dynatube-amps.
(cable it as shown in the screenshot)
I have included a spontaniously made mp3 demo for some "beep-sounds" you can get with it.

Hmmmm......I can´t work out this seemingly simple signal-flow...not from this picture. Í have tried this with Celmos guitar-amp, wich is slightly different, with a stereo out, but no luck yet. Martin, could you make this i little clearer, either picture-wise or verbally?

Now I wonder, is the feedback just set on one tone/range?
To me, it seems to just be on an A or something, that feeds back.
I try to get feedback on the notes I hang on, as an added sustain, but no luck yet. Am I hoping to much?

Guitar => GuStaf in... out => Dynatube in ... out => GuStaf Fed & Mixer
Dynatube has lots of distortion-power which is needed for those feedbacks. So far I dropped further developement, nobody seemed to be really interested. I have a personal version without feedback but with special EQ settings and much improved Gate what is much more important for everyday usage (that feedback-thing was more of an experiment anyway... I'm on that Hendrix-Trip very seldom
)... I guess if I need a guitar-feedback I will set a microphone in front of my monitors ... 
... GuStaf with feedback uses a bit much DSP-power for it's simple purpose ... better to use a membran & air and a microphone for that 
Wow, yesterday I got some f***ing problems with Logic 5.51 & my PC & scope sorted. Yes, your ears are working, I'm still using logic on PC. I thought I'm the only one, but there still seem to be lots of people. I've a simple Cubase version from my H4 running, for being ready to switch one day, but so far I think Logic is the perfect program for me to make musik (since 1989 on C64 ("supertrack") & (don't know when) Notator on Atari and since 1996 on PC (I think it was Logic 2.5 or 2.6))

Hmmm. I get that Hendrix-trip now and then, and I´ll teleport it over to you in your sleep, so you´ll feel compelled to develop my friend Gustaf some more...he´s a teaser now
I´ll eventually get back to recording new stuff again, now I´m getting into all this new stuff, and it takes time.
I´ve not really settled yet for any specific program to work with, I have a copy of Logic that I´ll try out eventually. Actually, many people stick with it.
I have worked a bit with Reaper, but it´s not stable enough yet, I think.
Samplitude LE came free with a magazine, and seems like it could be worth spending some time with.
Anyway, once again, thanks for all the great stuff you have given us!!

I need a feedback for guitar outside of Modular.
Might this be able to do the same if I have an ASIO 2 outputted to this of a Guitar sample I have used for years?
I would love to see and hear something like that. I have used the modWheel feedback thing since the mid '80's and while I still love it's sound, I am limited to the 5th intrval only, new tomes and harmonics would be sweet.
Scope Guitars w/ samples could be quite awesome using cross faded stuff or a feedback device.

After posting last night, and as I was going to sleep,
I was thinking about the possibilities to take something like my friend Gustaf, and make it into a fullblown guitar-synthezeiser.
I´ve also been into it from the angle of an advanced guitar-compressor,
where the compressed signal is allowed to raise on the sustain and develop into whatever desired,
harmonics, feedbacklike overtones, but then I realised that it may even be the start of a guitar-synth.
Would it be hard to make one of the synths get the input from a guitar-input, as an option to keyboard?
Does anyone remember the name of the gadget Carlos Santana used,
to get the really long sustain he had on the early albums....E-bow or something similar.
It was some kind of tube, wich was held in the pickin-hand and held over the strings to keep them vibrating....that kind of effect would be nice as an option. I guess what I´m locking for in a kind of way, is defferent kinds of "after-touch" for the guitar, in a way..
I´m just tossing around some ideas, and there must be a few guitar-players around that would like this to grow???

I still use Logic 4.8 nowadays, and I'm totally satisfied of it

I copied Santana as a kid and used the same Guitar even,
I don't remember any hand held device other than the SG Specail w/ humbuckers though. But he held the whammy bar while he picked, and often played w/ a Twin Reverb arop of a Dual Showman cabinet.
Another favorite of mine was that large human on guitar from Mountain, Leslie West. He kind of got that overtone style of playing going that was made real popular by ZZ Top.
But the God of feedback was the lead Guitarist from Blue Cheer on the album Vincebus Eruptum. Summertime Blues was their hit, and the next thing you know the Who did it, and we rarely heard Blue Cheer again after that. But we always bought their albums. They were the pride of O Town California ( Oakland ).
I have spent literally thousands on Guitar sample libraries and have been disappointed. VSL even has a Steve Via DVD that sucks big time. I still use my Carlos Santana sample from the Ensoniq Mirage at 8 bit, where the ModWheel intoduces feedback on the 5th. Mix that w/ Flexor III patch and even do reverse loops on the EDP Oberheim, and it temds to piss off the local rock " Gods ".
A Scope solution would be most desirable.

Hmmm....I had an album of Blue Cheer´s , don´t remember the name, but it was a comic-type of cover-picture. That was a loooong time ago, can´t even remember what they sounded like.

But it will take some time to get me starting SDK again. My doctor said: "Better let this evil-hell-machine closed for some time."
& I've a small art-project with shroomz planned. YouUnKnow?
+ a new idea: I will have to ask Adern if I'm allowed to use FlexorII modules within GuStaf. Hope you all have Flexor licenses?! For solo guitar it would be very cool to implement an audio2freq module, so it would be easier to control the feedback frequency ...

Tried it yesterday with a bass and the Ampeg dynatube. It took a while to get something going, but then it was great! Heavy duty bass with nice feedbacks (I'm no expert when it comes to explaining the occuring phenomena, so pardon my use of words: I got a few different feedback harmonics, about three flavors, maybe according to pitch or strumming technique, chords... I don't know).
Unfortunately I didn't save a preset, because I changed some parameters and didn't get a usefull setting afterwards, no matter what I tried. It all turned out to be squeeling pigs.

btw, I have Flexor 1.5, so I guess I'll have to open the wallet once again...
