Here's some scans from the new CW brochure that I picked up at NAMM. You can see how the new "Live Bar" is going to work in the the detail (3rd picture).

Awesome post! I wonder if there will still be the routing window?

Yeah, I had a conversation with Nikolai about it. They'll still have the routing window -- the Live Bar is just for convenience. E.g if you select a Miniscope in the Live Bar, it automatically, behind the scenes, gets wired to your Midi source and into some channels on your mixer (a la reason). It appears you select MIDI source/dest right there in the Live Bar, along with MIDI channel and number of voices, and which preset is being used. Cool. I'm not sure how they select the mixer channels, when you hook it up, but maybe they find the first available channels on your mixer.

I think they consider this a good feature for newbies, but I think it'll remove a lot of tedium even for power users.

I'm currently scanning the rest of the brochure, which details the breakdown between the different versions of Luna, Pulsar and Scope...

IF you are impatient, I think it would be best for you not to count on a date from CW, and I think it would be best for you not to visit the CW forum. Both could be tough on your mental state
