i have use the emu 0404 and its great.
If i had the emu, i would keep it. 3 dps's is not much now that new dsp's are available. Emu 0404 is a small portable thing with build in, good, preamps.

it is really 2 different cards though... so if you are after recording with your laptop, go for the emu. if not.. go with the 3dps card.. it will let you have a taste of scope, but you will want to have more dsps at some point!:)

I don't have Laptop computer. On one of my PC with CoreDuo6750 I own EMU1212m. And on the other I have this 0404 USB. :-? A big dilemma...Is there any advantage to have Scope Fusion on my second PC. Maybe doing mastering or mixing in the Scope Platform ?

i would keep the emu 0404. and wait a couple of months..
soniccore just announced that they will be making new soundcards with lots more power. So the old secondhand card prices should go down.
So hold on to the emu, and wait a couple of months and buy a used 14dsp card instead..

Just download Scope 4.0 from

http://www.sonic-core.net/en/support/download.html

then email your card's serial number to Ralf for a new all keys file at

rb(at)soniccore.com (add an @)

and you'll be sorted.

Well compared to that emu card, you can do a lot more with the LUNA 2 card, if nothing else, it is a sound card. However, it will get you started in the wonderful world of DSP, and its possibilities. But be warned, as I have the 3 DSP card also, and have been told many times here, "You Will Want More!!!" MUAHAHAH!! :D

I haven't touched my VST's since i got this thing, I'm using the STS Series, finding and buying soundfonts for sounds and using my own massive library as well.

What are the inputs and outputs of my new Luna 2 ? Balanced or Unbalanced ?
Also what dB 4+ or -10 is the input?

I use the Behringer tube ultragain MIC 200 which is pretty decent for cheap. Then you might want to have a look at SCOPE's Dynatube plugins.. They'll blow your mind up... :D Then you'll sell your car to get 3 15 DSP cards

actually if you re a guitar player it makes sense.

One dynatube plug-in needs roughly one dsp. So you can play live through the amp plug-in for monitoring.... and can record the signal unamped for further processing and such stuff.
